Blizzard have confirmed that there will be no enforced CRZ in Pandaria. Blizzard Blue Rygarius has said the following in this post: “Please note that Pandaria zones will not have CRZ enabled when Mists of Pandaria is released, but players can group up cross-realm in Pandaria with Real ID or BattleTag friends. The Wandering Isle, the pandaren starting area, will also not have CRZ enabled at launch, though we’ll have multiple instances of this zone running as needed for each realm, in an attempt to prevent overcrowding.”

Players may still encounter people from other servers, as the cross-realm RealID grouping remains available, but no enforced CRZ will be enforced. If players encounter cross-realm groups, they are invited by others, not put there by Blizzard.

It is interesting to note that Blizzard anticipate heavy server loading and have therefore taken the approach of instancing the pandaren start area – the Wandering Isle. This small, densely populated area with its tightly packed quests could be a hotbed of overcrowding issues, so it will be interesting to see how Blizzard’s approach plays out.

What You Need To Know About Cross Realm Zones In Mists Of Pandaria

I started leveling a pandaren priest this morning.  Got to Northern Barrens and noticed a few extra people running around with the [*] tag after their name (other server character).  While it’s a pretty cool feature, Blizzard has neglected to turn up the respawn rates on mobs/quest items, so this influx of extra people is making leveling kinda a pain in the tookus.

Do you think you weren’t looking in the right places? I found a lot of mobs behind trees and in holes and junk.

I don’t suspect Blizzard will change the spawn and resources nodes (but who knows, Blizzard will probably cave to the complaints.)  This probably brings WoW closer to the original design.

I see wow will never regain number 1 spot on xfire again, looks like it’s decline won’t be reversed. LoL will be the king of online gaming for a long time to come.

In terms of MMO’s WoW is always top. In terms of MOBA games, i think Dota will over take it.

LoL is also F2P, I think you need to separate F2P from P2P.

CRZ is one of the best things to happen in WoW, especially for PvP players.
