Nothing’s worse than logging into your World of Warcraft character and finding all your characters stripped naked and your money gone.
Now Blizzard‘s making it easier to detect suspicious activity on your account with the implementation of Battle.net Mobile Alerts for your text-enabled cellular device.
By enabling mobile alerts, you can perform several account-related functions, such as unlocking your account, removing an authenticator, or recovering your account name or password.
More significantly, you can configure Mobile Alerts to let you know when there’s suspicious activity on your account, such as a change of password or security features.
Battle.net Mobile Alerts is a free app for all mobile devices with a data plan. Considering the not-insignificant number of World of Warcraft accounts that are hacked every day, it’s a nice step for Blizzard to take and one that other companies could stand to copy.
