New Recruit-a-Friend Mount Revealed

So there’s some interesting news today if you’re thinking about doing, or are currently participating in, a Recruit-a-Friend program in World of Warcraft.

An email from Blizzard recently went out reminding people with unclaimed X-53 Touring Rocket mounts that they have until the 17th of July 2012 to claim their rocket before it becomes unavailable.

Replacing it will be the Heart of Nightwing, which will allow you to turn into the Obsidian Nightwing. That’s right, you get to turn into a flying black panther mount. It functions just like the Vial of the Sands, allowing someone to mount you if you’re in a group with them.
So you still get to have an awesome passenger mount, it’s just that you are the mount.

If you have a rocket mount pending and you would like the new mount, you must leave it unclaimed in order to collect the new mount. Your rocket will magically turn into a flying kitty after the 17th of July.

The item is the “Heart of Nightwing” which teaches you how to transform into the Obsidian Nightwing.

Same way the “Vial of Sands” teaches you how to transform into a Sandstone Drake.

Don’t cry about the X-53 Touring Rocket mounts, will probably show up on the Black Market Auction House.

It’s so cute how they always have time to pump out a mount or a pet when they want to bump their bottom line, yet they can’t fix basic gamebreaking bugs like wall/terrain DC. And why so quiet on the beta front?

      Ah the Big Love Rocket, didn’t get that one. Did pick up the Swift Lovebird, last holiday. Actually the Swift Lovebird demonstrates Blizzard using alot more polygons in their models.
