Senior World Of Warcraft Producer John Lagrave reveals that Blizzard is looking into more Warcraft for the iPhone market.
In the interview with Eurogamer, John states that “Maybe we’ll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone – maybe we won’t, but we’re certainly looking into it.” All gaming companies want to dip into the mobile market and previous versions of guild chat and mobile auction house from Blizzard have proven a success, but never really hit the nail on the head for bringing the WoW experience to the iPhone.
Lagrave mentioned that “… [ I ] think ‘I’ll just go fishing;” maybe we could be seeing remote crafting for the iPhone. After the remote auction house many people debated whether we could see such a function on a mobile device. All that down time when you’re sitting at work or on the bus could be spent crafting out your mats — that you just bought off the auction house.
Hopefully, we will see more involved features for the mobile phone market as we get further down the line; maybe one day we could actually RP walk into Orgrimmar while sitting down at your cousin’s party.
