GAMEBREAKER posted a while back about the Maine State Senate Candidate Colleen Lachowicz, who was attacked in a bizarre electronic lynching by the local Republican campaign for her WoW-playing habits. The site dug up various old posts she’d made about stabbing things in the butt, and poisons, teabagging and the like. The site, which is still up at colleensworld.com, makes entertaining reading for any gamer who understands, like Lachowicz and Maine voters clearly do, that games and reality are two separate things.
Regardless of your political leanings, the attack on a fellow gamer for their hobby seems less than acceptable. And we’re very happy to report that an Orc Rogue is now Senator-Elect of District 25, Maine. Lachowicz posted this on her facebook page this morning:
“Facebook kind of disappeared from view for a little while, but with good reason. With one town of 300 left to report, the results cannot change. I am now the Senator-Elect of District 25 with a total of 8561 to 7545.”
Lok’tar Ogar, friend! For the Horde!
Lachowicz also posted a video on facebook for her gamer friends. As a principally Alliance player I would like to see the faction imbalance in the State Senate houses readdressed as soon as possible.
