Blizzard announced that it will be holding several official launch events around the globe in celebration of the release of Mists of Pandaria.
Retail partners in France, the US, Germany, the UK, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, and Chile will be hosting the events with members of the World of Warcraft development team taking part and signing copies of the game.
In the US, the launch event will take place in Southern California, near Blizzard headquarters, at Giant Wheel Court at the Irvine Spectrum Center starting at 9.00PM September 24.
Gamers attending the events will get to see a stage presentation as well as participate in activities, giveaways, and a “challenge-mode challenge” between Blizzard employees and members of the community.
“We can’t wait to meet up with players around the world and celebrate with them at the official launch events,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “A lot of hard work and long hours went into making Mists of Pandaria a truly epic expansion, so we’re really looking forward to coming together and having some fun with the community before everyone takes off for the new continent.”
For people who can’t make it to one of these launch parties, retail stores will be open and selling MoP at midnight on September 25th. For more info check your local retailers.
