World of Warcraft Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.2 PTR is Live!

Patch 5.2 brings with various changes with it

A new Defense of the Ancients-style battleground called Defense of the Alehouse,
Throne of Thunder, the new raid, which includes 12 new bosses in normal mode and one heroic-only boss.
New daily quest hub: The Isle of the Thunder King.
New PvP season
Two new world bosses, Nalak the Storm Lord and Oondasta
The ability to purchase Sunsong Ranch to make it an area that grants rested XP like an inn. Factions will also send in work orders, and completing the work orders will grant you reputation with that faction.
Lots of class changes
All world bosses are now Tap to Faction., so the faction that engages a boss gets the chance to earn loot, regardless of raid groups and the like.

Honestly, while this patch is pretty big, I don’t really consider the previous patch any bit significant. I think what they are doing for this “patch more often” deal is splitting up each content patch into multiple patches. Not necessarily a bad thing, but still not enough content to warrant a subscription. New daily quests, a couple of new scenarios, 2 world bosses, battleground,and raid. Honestly that is par for the coarse for 5 months.

Just PR to hide the glaring issues that are now all over the game. Blizzard has lost all credibility in terms of core balance. Tanks and healers are beeing punished to play those roles. DPS is the only way atm… and its effecting Qs in the game.

Multi-role characters are leaving in droves for RIFT cause the item upgrade system punishes ppl that like to play two roles. Not to mention that Tank/healer role is not viable if ppl want to take part in Brawlers guild.

Nothing of this is beeing worked on in 5.2. Its still months away and will probably be launched just before end of 1st quarter 2013 to boost the sub numbers. Thats 3 months away – and many will not be waiting in LFR Qs for more than 2 hours like is now happening. Not that ppl actually wait that long. They leave long before.

  Not sure what server you play on but LFR Q’s on my server and never longer then 20-25 minute and that being extreme. Average Q time on my server is about 5-10 minutes. Maybe it time to change servers?? then maybe you will get a better Q time??

  You must be joking. On my server the LFR queues are fine. I’m getting my mage, lock and resto druid through LFR without a problem. If anything, the latest change Blizzard made to LFR, gives a more consistent full run from the first boss. Something that wasn’t happening regularly before.
  
  No one is talking about Rift. The only game I keep hearing that players are logging onto after finishing our weekly raids is Assassin Creed III.

  I dont really understand your point, my main is a priest and I have no problems collecting healing gear in raids for my primary role then switching to shadow spec for dailies and brawlers guild and using mostly healing gear. Plus by doing lfr Im slowly picking up extra dps pieces, as tokens can be traded for either set or I can reforge off-set items to better suit dps.
  
  I also play a protection warrior quite a lot but having fury set collected from heroics and odd raid piece is perfectly fine for dailies.

Someone please forward this to the executives at BioWare to give them an example of what the difference is between a “Content Patch” and a “Expansion Pack” is!

I don’t want to mess up some of the new stuff for myself. I also haven’t been raiding these last few months so I don’t see a reason to try out the new raid. I will be in, but not as much as I had in the past.
