World Of Warcraft is one of the most expansive universes in computer gaming with every little area of the world having its own back story.
Zones like Tirisfal Galdes are steeped in history from the past RTS’ and leaders such as Varian Wyrnn have a story that cannot be fully experienced within the game.
This is where the brand new website feature Expanded Universe comes in.
All the lore and stories that you may not get to experience fully in the game are available with just a few clicks. Comic books, manga, books and on-site content are all available via this new feature. For all of you that wondered why Varian is also called Lo’Gosh, you can find links to the comic book series and finally get more out of your lore.
The short stories are superb and need to be checked out.
The level of immersion these stories give us is great for Role-Players that want to get a better sense of what it is to be your faction. As a Forsaken, the Sylvanas story is amazing, her emotional connection to the past is key to understanding the emotional ties that comes for being Undead.
Sylvanas’ story gives me great insight to how I should feel that my only way forward is to accept my past and move to reclaim my former power in Lorderon.
If you are feeling that you need to brush up on your lore this is something you should defiantly check out, I’ve already got the Ashbringer comic and two novels and loved every moment of them.
