World of Warcraft’s upcoming zone, the Timeless Isles, is full of rare spawns and events. It even has pirates!!
The Timeless Isles is a place of exploration and treasure hunting, but it will also be crammed full of rare spawns and rare events. As it stands, there are approximately twenty rare spawns all across this island. Currently they are only dropping Timeless Coins, a new currency for the new zone.
In patch 5.3 and Battlefield: Barrens, I think I only went there once. It wasn’t that I found it boring or anything along those lines, I just never found the time to get over there and do anything. Needless to say, I never tried any of the events offered there. With patch 5.4 and the Timeless Isles there are quite a few different events. Some of them are meant to be fun and interactive – get you out doing something – while others end up summoning more rare spawns.
Here’s a map of the Timeless Isles with all the rare spawn locations marked in yellow. The locations marked in blue are the rare events that summon a rare spawn. This island is filled with rare spawns, I’m seriously impressed. It’s almost like we won’t be able to walk five feet without tripping over one.
Now on to the pirates. There are quite a few pirates and pirate them scattered across the Isles. To the south of Pi’jiu Village, there are Cursed Hozen Swabbies. They are guarding a treasure chest that contains a Cursed Swabby Helmet. This treasure chest does require a key, which drops from the Hozen Swabbies guarding it. It may take a few swabbies before the key drops, though.
On the southeast side of the island, there’s a group of spectral pirates being ambushed by undead. If you help defend them and kill the final boss Rattleskew, you will be rewarded with a special quest item.
The rare spawn Evermaw drops a Mist-Filled Spirit Lantern. This lantern will summon the Dread Ship Vazuvius at the Cursed Graveyard on the Misty Shores.
So what do you think? These are only a few of the many things you can do on the Timeless Isles. Is there something here that interests you?
