Assassins Creed 3 Animus Trailer

Set up to be a video advertisement produced by the fictional Abstergo Industries for the new Animus System, the new Assassin’s Creed 3 trailer looks the part of a polished corporate ad.

It gives us a detailed look at the new PvP match types coming to Assassin’s Creed 3. The standard team based Domination type is there, with players fighting over capture points.

The other type of PvP shown off is a 2-4 player Wolfpack game; a co-op game mode where players hunt down the enemy AI in a race against the clock.

The trailer also features some information on the unlock system, displaying the experience and other rewards players can get by earning accolades. One of the rewards seemed a little odd: the ability to unlock advertising for unreleased products. Not entirely sure what that means, but we shall see.

Assassin’s Creed 3 ships on November 20th in the USA and November 23rd in the UK.

    Ok, that was wierd.

Wolfpack seems a lot like huntermode in Crisis 3, not that I’m complaining.

    Worst voice actor ever.

He’s the voice actor for Warren Vidic in the game.

It’s a nice commercial for the future “Real” Animus machine :D

I realize it was meant to look like a commercial for a future corporation, that being said the video was kinda weird. It went from being like “Animus can change the world, it will allow you to relive the past… AND NOW HERE ARE OUR GAME TYPES!”

I duno felt a little immersion breaking if ya ask me.

It is meant to be basically a video game.  Not the full animus.  It’s not meant for actual ancestor reliving, but playing deathmatches in historical settings with historical avatars.

A tad goofy. The conspiracy part of the AC story is becoming more and more…off. Like campy except not entertaining. I think it’s the quality of the writing, but also the quality of the voice acting.

ALSO HOW MANY TIMES WILL VIDIC’S VOICE CHANGE? I can tell it’s a younger dude doing the voice this time…

I’ve pretty much assumed that I was gonna get AC3 eventually. But watching this actually makes me less interested in buying the game…
