ARMA 3 developers team up with community to bring tutorial guide series
In a recent press release Bohemia Interactive, the Czech studio behind the popular ARMA series, has announced that it will be teaming up with its community to develop a new tutorial series for the third Installment in the ARMA series, ARMA 3.
This feat comes in just days after the release of the ARMA 3 Alpha that hit the steam store on March 5th.
What’s the deal?
Over the next few weeks Bohemia will be working closely with community member Andrew ‘Dslyecxi” Gluck from the community group ShackTactical, to produce a new tutorial video series aimed at bringing players up to speed on all of the new content and features heading to ARMA 3.
Taking a unique spin on ”let’s play” videos and in-game tutorial modes, Bohemia and Dslyecxi aim to bring a blend of information on the games Mission editing, co-op multiplayer and combat, whilst throwing in some tips and tricks along the way to help players new and old get started.
When talking about the series Andrew had this to say;
“The Community Guide series is intended to introduce both new and old players alike to the wealth of possibilities that Arma 3 brings to the table, as well as familiarize them with the basic tactical concepts needed to survive in the realistic combat environments they’ll encounter on the Mediterranean island of Stratis. This first video sets the stage by talking about what makes the Arma series such a unique and compelling military sandbox experience“.
Speaking on the behalf of Bohemia, Brand and PR manager Korneel Van’t Land said;
“The idea behind Dslyecxi’s Community Guides is simple: approach Arma 3 from a player’s perspective, highlight what’s new and what sets the series apart, and provide basic tips on how you can leverage the full potential of Arma 3. As a dedicated community member since Operation Flashpoint, Andrew pools from countless hours of experience and is able to share his enthusiasm like no other.”
The first video in the series went out on Monday, March 4th (Above!) but be sure to keep tabs on Dslyecxi’s YouTube page over the coming days for more on the ARMA 3 video series.
