Crytek Artist Scott Hammer Updates BioShock Images With CryEngine 3
4 Comments

Remember in BioShock the sheer awe of seeing for yourself a city completely submerged in an ocean. The absolute fear of hearing bolts give way in other corridors, or the eerie feeling of always being watched.

A world meant for paradise that quickly grew into a twisted world of its former self.

Seems Crytek UK artist Scott Hammer also has fond memories of this world and decided to take the new CryEngine 3 and built a number of environments  in honor to the series.

The screenshots he has released so far are gorgeous and truly capture the atmosphere of this world under the sea.

Check out the screenshots and let us know in the comments below, does seeing a revitalized look of BioShock have you eager for the Infinite or demanding an updated BioShock?

Loved BioShock from day 1. And even though these pictures look great, I’m not sure I would like to play a new version of it in a new engine. I’m afraid that it might ruin the memories I have from the original. And the original is already pristine the way it is :)
But who knows… As the fanboy I am, I might just end up buying it anway (if it was made).

I would pay 50 bucks for a updated graphic engine version of Bioshock.

Bioshock was made with the Unreal Engine 2.5, the writer fails to not only mention that but failed to mention what it would look like in Unreal Engine 4. While its nice that a Crytek dev likes Bioshock’s Unique worlds its also important to state the facts of what engine that game is using. As well as stating that the game would look equally if not even more so stunning in the newer next gen UE4. Expect Bishock Infinite that is running on UE3.5 to look great aswell :)
