The BioShock Infinite Season Pass is available for pre-order now.
Irrational Games announced this morning that they have begun production on downloadable content for BioShock Infinite. During this announcement, Irrational also announced the BioShock Infinite Season Pass which is set to be available on March 26th — when the game is set to launch.
The Season Pass includes three add-on packs that are currently in development and promise to add hours of additional gameplay including new stories, characters, abilities and weapons.
Anyone who purchases the Season Pass will also be given the Early Bird Special Pack containing four pieces of exclusive gear: a machine gun damage upgrade, a pistol damage upgrade (both with a gold skin) and five infusion bottles. The infusion bottles will allow for increased health, shield durability or the ability to use Vigors.
The BioShock Infinite Season Pass is priced at $19.99 and valued at about $37. (The approximate value is converted from the British Pound.)
Industrial Revolution Pack
In addition to receiving the Early Bird Special pack for purchasing the BioShock Infinite Season Pass, players who pre-order the game will also be given the Industrial Revolution Pack for free. Note that this pack is available for pre-ordering the game in general, whether or not you purchase the Season Pass.
The Industrial Revolution Pack gives players access to three in-game items that boost combat abilities as well as a $500 to in-game currency and five lock picks. It also comes the Industrial Revolution puzzle game which reveals stories of Columbia and integrates with Facebook to allow players to join up with the Vox Populi or the Founders.
For those wanting to purchase the BioShock Infnite Season Pass, it is available on PC via Steam, XBox 360 and PS3. I’ve poked about at Steam and it is definitely available there. I have not checked to see if it’s already landed on the consoles.
