If you’re one of those people that just can’t seem to get those Diablo 3 high-end drops, there’s hope.  Blizzard has released a hotfix for the game that will — in some cases — significantly increase players’ chances of finding gear between levels 61 and 63.

These changes will affect Hell — Acts III and IV as well as Inferno — Acts I – IV, and are as follows (shows change from the old drop rate to new):

Hell – Act III and Act IV

  • iLvl 61: 9% to 13.9%
  • iLvl 62: 1.9% to 3.45%
  • iLvl 63: No Change

Inferno – Act I

  • iLvl 61: 17.7% to 23.9%
  • iLvl 62: 7.9% to 12.6%
  • iLvl 63: 2.0% to 4.8%

Inferno – Act II

  • iLvl 61: 18.6% to 23.3%
  • iLvl 62: 12.4% to 18.6%
  • iLvl 63: 4.1% to 9.3%

Inferno – Act III and Act IV

  • iLvl 61: 24.1% to 27.1%
  • iLvl 62: 16.1% to 21.7%
  • iLvl 63: 8.0% to 16.3%

While some of these changes may not seem huge, there are those that have jumped up as much a 8%.  That’s a pretty good amount when you think about it.

What do you guys think?

Loss of money ?   They take 1$ of every item and this will lead to more items beeing on AH but at lower prices.

And to answer your “working” RMAH – bots are beeing banned… go play the game and have fun.

      Isn’t the $1 only for those with Blizzard’s season/yearly pass?  Otherwise, it’s a percentage.

Didn’t make any money because the game’s boring past level 50. I’m already busy farming on WoW. Won’t (even more) mindlessly farm on Diablo.

This kind of thing kills the spirit of gaming. Dislike.

Items can still have horrible rolled stats and be useless even though they are ilvl 63. The ilvl is not always directly comparable to the quality of rolled stats, none the less at least it fixes acts 3-4 inferno as they were just not worth running really compared to the earlier and easier acts.

I completely mean this constructively.  I’d say “…those that have jumped up by more than 100%”

How freaking awesome?!  Thanks for sharing!

According to their blog post it should be out “mid August”.
Torchlight 2 is supposed to be sometime in the summer too. :(

These releases need to be more spread out. >_<

No one cares anymore. Until Blizzard reduces the number of bad affixes and completely removes them from being rolled on Legendary Weapons at all(while simultaneously buffing the stats Legendaries can roll with) and significant changes to the amount of damage melee takes, no amount of buffing of drop rates of bad items is going to bring people back.

d3 is far beyond a second simple drop rate buff to fix. this is probably in response to a lack of items appearing on the RMAH, which is realistically is a result of the combination of 1) idiots overpricing everything, and 2) people just tired of actiblizzions shit and quitting.

I have made 532 pounrds which is about $700? I prepared by farming the crap out of Act4 and Royal Crypt (prepatch), and just bought lots of goodies from Gold and soon as Money went up I put them on there and people throwing out 40-50 for things that would cost about 7-8m (if you looked hard enough). So, perfect timing, though i went to see how much all the stuff that i got 40-50 for is now and its like 10 or less lol.

PS putting in “£” into comments kept causing an error, :O shame!

I haven’t been able to make a single sale on the RMAH. And I am pricing things at like 2 bid, 3 buy. So… yeah. Evidently, I shouldn’t give up my day job.

not earned a single dime from RMAH yet

I have made about 135€ (~168$) by selling my items from before the RMAH was introduced.
