Okay, I have to get this out of the way first.
Squad Wars may have the best pitch video for a Kickstarter project yet. It has to be the least corny and most honest one.
“We love space games and science fiction. Let us tell you about that love and how it will translate into a game with spaceship battles.”
This new project from End Games Entertainment is pretty much what the title makes it sound like. It’s a F2P team-based space combat game that will allow players to form squads with their friends and battle it out in space.
The battles will take place in “scenarios” and every scenario that a player participates in will affect the state of the universe as well as unlock things like jobs and gear.
If you’re worried about whether or not End Games Entertainment can pull off a good space battle game, I should note that the company is made up of a group of developers that include the original founders of NetDevil — the company responsible for Jumpgate — as well as members of the Jumpgate Evolution project team.
Though other members of the team include developers who worked on Rift, Warcraft II and LoL.
