Indie Bundle Weekend Roundup 4 - 7 Great Indie Game Bundles
3 Comments

This week on our indie bundle roundup we have four new bundles.

The Indie Royale returns with an all new offering while indiebundle.org has a new and a returning bundle.

New Bundles

Indie Royale: The Evolved Bundle – Ends Feb 8th

  • Games Included: Unmechanical, The Path, Krater, Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory, OIOand music
  • Steam: Yes
  • Desura: Some

Indie Royale is a “beat the minimum” bundle with a suggested price of $15 and a current minimum of $5.30.  Paying more than the minimum helps knock down the price for people who purchase the bundle after you. Anyone who pays $8.00 or more will also receive the album Slipstream by CoLD SToRAGE.

The Mothership Bundle – Ends When Keys Run Out

  • Games Included: Mayhem Intergalactic, Beware Planet Earth!, Eight Days in Convoke and a bonus game — Fulmination.
  • Steam: Mayhem Intergalactic only
  • Desura: Everything Else

The Mothership Bundle is an indie bundle offered by indiebundle.org.  This site is unique because it actually offers several bundles at once.  All of their bundles consist of three items (or in some cases albums) and are always $5.  They also have a limited number of available keys per bundle.

This particular bundle is their most recent offering, however there are many others that would be worth looking at.

Microsoft 5-Game Arcade/Indie Pack – Amazon Sale

  • Games Included: DEADLIGHT, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Iron Brigade, Mark of the Ninja and Toy Soldiers.
  • Steam: Yes
  • Desura: No

This bundle is pretty much what it looks like — a game package on Amazon.  But since it’s usually carries a $70 price tag and is now $9.99, I figured I’d share.  I’d also like to mention that I have no idea when this sale will end. With Amazon sales just kind of end when they do.

Green Light Bundle – Ends Feb 15th

  • Games Included: Paranormal, Beware Planet Earth!, Hairy Tales, Dwarf Quest, Depth Hunter, Potatoman Seeks the Troof, Megabyte Punch, Gear Jack, Aeon Command.
  • Steam: Not Yet
  • Desura: Some

The Green Light Bundle features games that are currently in the process of trying to make it onto Steam via the Greenlight Program.  It is a pay-what-want-bundle with a minimum price of $5.  The goal of the bundle is to get these games the votes they need to get Greenlit. So they do ask that you take the time to vote for the games you like on Steam.

Returning Bundles

The Free Bundle 2 – Ends Feb 7th

  • Games Included: Under The Garden, Zineth, Blitz Meet, A Nation of Wind, Mad Father
  • Steam/Desura: These are free games so they’re typically standalone PC downloads.

The Free Bundle is an indie bundle put together to highlight the games of talented developers that might have gone overlooked.  It’s put together by the creators of Cypher, who plan to do more bundles like this in the future.

If you  missed the first Free Bundle, it is easily accessible through The Free Bundle website.

And if you haven’t picked up the other games, go do it now.

Delightful Point & Click Bundle – Ends When Keys Run Out

  • Games Included: Shadows on the Vatican Act 1: Greed, The Journey Down and Metal Dead
  • Steam: No
  • Desura: Yes

The Delightful Point & Click Bundle is an indie bundle offered by indiebundle.org.  This site is unique because it actually offers several bundles at once.  All of their bundles consist of three items (or in some cases albums) and are always $5.  They also have a limited number of available keys per bundle.

BundleStars: Bundle #2 “Indie Jam” – Ends Feb 10th

  • Games Included: Unstoppable Gorg, Stellar Impact, Twin Sector, Dead Horde, Future Wars, Greed: Black Border, Grotesque Tactics, Trapped Deadand, Grotesque Tactics 2 and Trauma.
  • Steam: Yes
  • Desura: No

IndieStars offers a fairly large bundle for the set price of $5.24. Their second bundle is a mostly sci-fi/zombie oriented offering at a pretty impressive 93% off.  Five percent of each purchase goes to a charity called SpecialEffect which is designed to help persons with disabilities have a better quality of life.
