the average amount of tickets per checkout cart was 1.7, so while there may be some scalpers as always it is not as rampant as people want to make it seem. people just want to go to pax, and some were more prepared/on the ball then others.

oh BTW was anyone else watching IRLjasmine stream over on
twitch TV when she got this news, it was like watching some one kick kittens
but then Chris Hanel (the Daily Blink) came to save the day (for Her at lest,
suck that not every one has a Chris Hanel to save there day).

No they just need to make the buyer attach a name to each pass at the time of checkout and make that name unchangeable except for spelling corrections because people do make spelling mistakes in haste

When I was a Kid, I worked for a Scalper, and F&*(ked up really bad and was talking to some girls when I should’ve been taking the #6 priority # they gave me to get their Pretender’s tickets…

They are parasites,
and I always joyfully remember screwing their little greed machine up when I hear stories like this.

Blizzcon does the same thing as ComicCon, you can buy for friends but you have to be there to transfer the ticket.

Umm, why don’t they just make the passes non-transferable and ID required like they do at ComicCon? I know some people still transfer them but they have to deliver it personally and it’s a hassle (not to mention if the pass holder gets caught and the badge is taken).

I attend Pax East each year, and I think I’d be willing to pay up to $200 for a weekend pass, but that’s only because I enjoy it that much. For those who are going for the first time, the risk that it won’t be worth that kind of money is just too great.
