It would appear that the days of just receiving candy and fruit — or the annoying toothpaste sample — for Halloween are over. PopCap Games, the maker of Plants vs. Zombies, has teamed up with the American Dental Association on a campaign called Stop Zombie Mouth.
The focus of the campaign is to help prevent tooth decay by giving those who wish to participate Plants vs. Zombies-themed alternatives to candy that they can give out to trick-or-treaters.
These alternatives include free copies of the game, trading cards and other PvZ items — many of which will include tips on how to keep teeth healthy.
Those who wish to give out PvZ goodies can pick up redeemable coupon codes for the PC and Mac versions of the game through participating ADA dentists or at the Stop Zombie Mouth site.
The campaign has officially kicked off, so visit the site and see about picking up some codes to give away.
