It sounds like a late April Fool’s joke, but it’s not.
Soon Skyrim players will be able to shout at their TV — not in frustration, but to activate dragon shouts and issue other commands with their Kinect-equipped Xbox 360s.
Bethesda has posted a video showing off the wide variety of voice-activated features available to Kinect Skyrim players, from “equip axe and shield” to “ally attack” to managing hotkeys and inventory to, of course, various dragon shouts, all without activating a menu.
But you’ll have to know more than “fus ro dah” to succeed. It looks like you’ll need to hone your dova language skills to perform your fire shout, ice form, and other shouts.
And you thought learning Klingon was hard.
Skyrim Kinect for Xbox 360 will be available as a free game update later this month.
