Tomb Raider Gets A Spanking New Trailer

It was E3 2011 when Square-Enix blew everyone away with the first trailer for Tomb Raider. It’s been a whole year, and guess what? That game still looks pretty awesome.

In this new E3 trailer, we get to see Lara Croft utilize a bow, fight vicious animals, and, of course, explore a tomb or two.

As she mentions, tombs just really aren’t her thing. This is the “new” Lara, after all.

Tomb Raider is hitting shelves on March 5 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

LOVE the realism they brought to this. Few games have ever made me feel suspense and made me tense up in concern for the protagonist. If this whole game is like this, I’ll definitely be picking it up.

To those that say “This isn’t Lara Croft”, everyone has a breaking point, even Croft. Perhaps this is early Croft, perhaps it’s not. If it’s not, it will no doubt be explained why she’s in such a panicked stated compared to the Croft we’re used to.

Really hope more titles brave the dark, gritty, underside of humanity. Killing demons and monsters is fun, but nothing is quite as creepy as being faced with darkside of humanity’s nature.

It’s a prequel/reboot. It is her on her first unwilling adventure, while being a reboot of the mechanics of the series.
