While you may have been expecting a Portal centric movie, GLaDOS, the evil computer gamers love to hate with her quick wit and charm has landed a spot on Guillermo del Toro’s new movie Pacific Rim.
Del Toro being a fan of the Portal series is having Ellen McClain, the voice actress behind GLaDOS reprising the voice from the series to portray an A.I. system connected to one of the robots.
Now you may be wondering what exactly the movie entails.
Well it appears that if we looking for advanced life out in the cosmos that we really need to look under the sea as a portal has erupted deep on the ocean floor where massive creatures known as Kaiju have begun appearing and rampaging the local areas.
Since humans don’t back down from a fight and this being a del Toro movie, the nations of world banded together to build massive human controlled robots called Jaegers to bash those nasty monsters back into the portal they came from.
While no word as to whether fans of GLaDOS can expect to hear that narcissistic, witty charm of hers for this new A.I. you can bet to see plenty of monster bashing fun when it releases in standard, 3-D, and IMAX 3D on July 12, 2013.
