Phenteo Announced On The Forums There Will Be Custom Music Composed Specifically For The Hearthstone Soundtrack.

It really isn’t that debatable. Blizzard Entertainment has some of the best soundtracks tied to their games. Each track sets the mood of your environment with uncanny accuracy. You can almost feel the leaves fluttering in the trees, or the preparations of war in Orgrimmar.

Phenteo’s Announcement

Initially, I really didn’t think that Blizzard would bother making an entirely new soundtrack for a game as simple as Hearthstone. I figured they would pull from the already existing Warcraft music, similar to what they did for pet battles. When the topic came up on the forums, Phenteo had this to say:

We will have some custom music that was specifically composed for Hearthstone.  The devs are very excited about it as the music really fits the nature of the game. They liked the idea about the soundtrack so much, they want to have a blog update dedicated about the soundtrack! This will be more likely closer to beta. But I just wanted to update everyone!

The way it is sounding is there will be a few pieces that are completely new and created strictly for Hearthstone, as well as a few pieces that are pulled from WoW.  The Hearthstone trailer featured a few Warcraft references within the music, “A Call To Arms” and “The Shaping of The World.”  

As for the blog, I’m hoping that they plan to post a write-up for each of the new “custom to Hearthstone” pieces.  I am interested in what inspired each piece and any other “behind the scenes” info.

Who Is The Composer?

It has yet to be announced who is involved; however, Jason Hayes announced through twitter that he worked on the music in the trailer.  For those that do not know of Jason Hayes’ work, he is the man responsible for the original WoW login theme, Stormwind theme, Orgrimmar theme, and many others.  I feel with Hayes on board the music will still have that epic (but classic) feel to it.

This week in Conspiracy Craft, the Mogu are showing their Monsanto side as we clear up their Warcraft lore discrepancies! 

Conspiracy Craft is GAMEBREAKER’s World of Warcraft show that focuses on the story and possible avenues that Blizzard‘s development team could take with it. How is the Mogu related to Monsanto? Time to clear up the air about the lore surround the Mogu! And if you’re asking about their allies, the Zandalari, it’s already been covered in my first Conspiracy Craft article!

Mogu Origins

There’s a bit of a discrepancy about the Mogu’s origins. According to the Pandaren, they were brutes who just stumbled upon the magical powers that were in the Vale of Eternal Blossom. But when Patch 5.2 was released, we discovered that they were in fact titan constructs who were exposed to the Old God’s Curse of Flesh. Definitely go check out the Lorewalker story “Gods and Monsters” that is discovered on the Isle of Thunder!

It’s official. The Mogu are Titan Constructs like the Earthen, Mechagnomes, Tol’vir, Vrykul, and several other races. But the Curse of Flesh and the shadow of Y’Shaarj didn’t agree with their original protection programming. Suddenly they had emotions and strong desire to fight that seemed similar to the orcs’ bloodlust. With no outlet or a strong hand to control them, they turned on each other as their master, Ra-Den, grew silent.

Lei Shen

Someone had to take control and like our human bias behavior, stronger Mogu took command of like-minded Mogu and formed warclans. It was during the Age of a Hundred Kings that Lei Shen, the Thunder King, was born. Yes, born. Raiders are familiar with two or three known female Mogu, making their appearance either a rarity or an anomaly.

See, the Curse of Flesh affected all the Titan made creations differently. The majority of them lost their stone skin for flesh but the Earthen turned Dwarf, Mechagnome turned Gnome, Tol’vir lost their wings, Vrykul produced smaller babies that started the Human race, etc. And if you notice, most of Titan creations are primarily male in appearance.

It’s time to go back to movie/book knowledge! Remember Jurassic Park and how they spliced dinosaur DNA with a frog species. Some frog species can easily change genders to preserve the species, so this might be why Earthen and Mechagnome eventually had females emerge. Since the Mogu weren’t part of the life seed program, it’s possible something went wrong with fleshy genetic make-up and females were few and far between–make Lei Shen even more special.

But since this is Azeroth and there is magic, being born of magic is possible. Not to mention that adulthood is marked differently between all the different races of Azeroth. It’s possible that after so many years, Lei Shen was finally deemed an adult by Mogu standards much like how gnomes are still teenagers in their 20s.

Servant Becomes Master

The stories of the Mogus’ former glory were probably told to all little Mogu Pups and Lei Shen might have heard them all. He knew about their silent master, heard how they pushed the Old Gods into prisons, keeping Azeroth safe. And after enough generations had passed, his mind was developed enough to find a way to rally the clans together once more.

This is where the story gets a little complicated. In the Lorewalker scroll “Gods and Monsters,” it states that Lei Shen went into the heart of the Thundering Mountain–now the Isle of Thunder. But in the Dungeon Journal, it says he went deep into the Mogu’shan Vaults. Sean Copeland at Blizzard was nice enough to answer my tweet to clear it all up!

So he journeys into the heart of this Sacred Mount where Ra-Den is sleeping and decides to wake him up. A majority of you might roll out of bed fighting–I know I do. Mogu verse Titan Watcher, Servant fighting master, the victory claims the heart of a “god.” With this brutal act, he earns the respect of all other Mogu. He unites the currency and language of Pandaria, enslaves the other races, builds a giant wall, a vault, and his own palace with the labor of slaves, leaving quite the legacy behind upon his death.

Resurrection and Oh-Shiny!

But he is called to battle once more by the Zandalari and their voodoo up in Kun-Lai Summit where they resurrect him to take over Pandaria once more. At least for the duration of Patch 5.2 before Wrathion tempts heroes with shiny legendaries to bring him the Thunder King’s heart. So anticlimatic!

Eric Dodds And Ben Brode Livestreamed Four Hearthstone Fireside Duels And Answered Viewers Questions On Twitch.tv.  

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft followers were in their glory this morning when just over 12 000 viewers tuned in to watch Eric Dodds and Ben Brode play four fireside duels live on Twitch.tv.  

The first game involved Anduin Wrynn (priest) and Malfurion Stormrage (druid).  Brode had made a healing based priest deck to show off a few of those abilities; however, the cards were not in his favor and the druid prevailed.  Next we got to see Valeera Sanguinar (rogue) go up against Malfurion, and again the rogue just did not get the cards they wanted at the beginning.  Viewers choice for the next hero in action was Rexxar (hunter).  He went up against Thrall (shaman) and again they lost the battle.  It wasn’t looking too great for Eric Dodds and Ben Brode until game four.  Brode had said that he had a killer warrior deck, and it did not disappoint.  Garrosh Hellscream (warrior) went up against Uther the Lightbringer (paladin) and truly showed us how intense a battle can get.

During their play they got to answer a few questions sent in over twitter and live from the chat room.  Here’s a quick recap of some of the questions that were answered, as well as some of the features they showed us.

Benefits For Player 2

It was pointed out during the first game that player 2′s hero started off with 35 HP (hit points) while player 1′s hero started with 30 HP.  When asked about it, the two responded that it was something they were trying out to keep the game fair.  Another thing we noticed was player 1 began with three cards, while player 2 started with four.  

A New Board And Board Animations

We had the opportunity to see the new Stranglethorn Vale playing board, and it was beautiful.  It had the feel of STV with the ancient troll ruins deep in a jungle.  We also got to see some of the board animations at work.  You could pick roses from a rose bush and have them grow back, pull a gem from a statue’s eye socket, and start a campfire.  The Pandaren board had a farm that lets you pick the crops.  New crops will grow in their place.  You could also ring a gong and let a kite fly away.  

The Heroes

I’ve been seeing a lot of people either upset or just not understanding the choice behind Anduin Wrynn being the priest hero.  What Dodds and Brode said during the stream was that the Hearthstone team wanted a good mix of older characters and newer characters.  Anduin’s character has seen a lot of growth lately in World of Warcraft and there still is more to come for him.  

Time Limits For Turns

Yes, there will be time limits for your turns.  This is to prevent anyone from AFK’ing mid battle. The time limit seems to be fairly long, however.  They were able to take their time to strategize, and we only saw the time limit bomb once.

What Happens When You Run Out Of Cards?

This was a great question.  Basically, once you run out of cards, your hero will take fatigue damage each turn.  The first turn you will take 1 damage, second turn you will take 2 damage, and so on.  We actually got to see this in play, and it was the winning factor for that game.  

While I would have like to see a few more epic battles, all in all it was quite enjoyable.  We had the opportunity to watch how quickly a fight can go wrong, as well as how epic one can get.  If you missed watching this live or want to watch it again, you can do so here.

Patch 5.3 is coming and Blizzard have created a guide to the changes!

Blizzard Community Manager Daxxarri has posted an excellent summary of all the things you need to know about Patch 5.3, including various changes we’ve covered at length here on Gamebreaker, on both Legendary and in articles. There are various things to look at, which I explain at greater length in the video, and Daxxarri’s post is below, in full. 

The main news is the return of item upgrades. PvPers can upgrade season 12 items, at the same cost as before, 750 Conquest for two upgrades of four item levels, and 1500 honor points for an upgrade of eight item levels. PvE gear can be upgraded in the usual manner, at the reduced cost of 250 Valor Points to upgrade by 4 Item Levels, for a total of 500 Valor in exchange for 8 Item Levels per item. This also applies retroactively to all items that can be upgraded using Valor, and the exact same numbers apply to Justice gear.

 More and more sources of lesser charms of good fortune are being added, as the article states, 

• Outdoor world creatures level 90 and above now have a chance to drop Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.
• Rare spawns in Pandaria (except Zandalari Warscouts and Zandalari Warbringers) and bosses encountered as part of the Battlefield: Barrens quest event in Kalimdor will drop Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.

And the XP required to go from 85-90 is being nerfed by almost a third! Are the devs finally seeing the error of their ways?

Now that the patch is on the horizon, we’ve narrowed down some of the key things you might want to know before the big day. If you want to find out more about everything that’s coming, you can check out the latest Public Test Realm patch notes, or even download and play on the PTR itself.

Be Prepared
Hold on to some of those currencies you’ve been earning over the course of patch 5.2. The gear-upgrading Void Binders are returning in patch 5.3, but it will be cheaper to upgrade items using Valor and Justice Points. Upgradeable PvP items from Season 12 will be eligible for upgrade once again at their original costs. In addition, Heirloom items will be cheaper to upgrade, whether you’re using Justice Points, Honor Points, or Darkmoon Faire tickets. We’re also speeding up the leveling process from 85 to 90. Here are the details:

• The experience required to level from 85 to 90 will be reduced by 33%. Time to dust off those alts!
• The Void Binders are coming back!The amount of Justice, Honor, and Darkmoon Faire tickets needed to upgrade Heirloom items will be reduced by 60%.
  • Items upgraded with Valor will now cost 250 Valor Points to upgrade per 4 Item Levels, for a total of 500 Valor for 8 Item Levels per item. This applies retroactively to all items that can be upgraded using Valor.
  • Items upgraded with Justice will now cost 750 Justice Points to upgrade for 8 Item Levels. They can only be upgraded once, for a total of 750 Justice and 8 Item Levels per item. This applies retroactively to all items that can be upgraded using Justice.
  • Malevolent Gladiator’s Conquest (Season 12) items that have upgrades available will still be upgradable at their original Conquest Point costs (750 Conquest Points per 4 Item Levels, with two upgrades possible).
  • Dreadful Gladiator’s Honor (Season 12) items that have upgrades available will still be upgradable at their original costs (one upgrade at a cost of 750 1500 Honor Points for 8 Item Levels).
  • No other PvP items will be able to be upgraded.

Item Level Requirements
Are you ready to face the Raid Finder, Heroic dungeons, and new Heroic Scenarios? Make sure that you’re geared up to dive right in:

• Heroic Scenarios require an average Item Level of 480; unlike normal Scenarios, you’ll need a pre-made party to enter.
• An average Item Level of 435 is required for Heroic dungeons.
• An average Item Level of 460 is required for the Raid Finder version of Mogu’shan Vaults.
• An average item level of 470 is required for Raid Finder versions of Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring.
• An average Item Level of 480 is required for the Raid Finder version of Throne of Thunder.

Lesser Charms of Good Fortune
We’re adding more ways to acquire Lesser Charms of Good Fortune in patch 5.3. In addition to the changes that took effect in patch 5.2, which reduced the number of Lesser Charms of Good Fortune required to purchase three Mogu Runes of Fate from 90 to 50 and allowed players to earn Lesser Charms from Pet Battles, these new sources of Lesser Charms will be available in patch 5.3:

• Outdoor world creatures level 90 and above now have a chance to drop Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.
• Rare spawns in Pandaria (except Zandalari Warscouts and Zandalari Warbringers) and bosses encountered as part of the Battlefield: Barrens quest event in Kalimdor will drop Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.

PvP Season Update 
PvP Season 13 is still in full swing. We discussed many of the changes coming to PvP gear in our PvP Gear in 5.2 and Preparing for PvP in Patch 5.3 blogs, and the changes below are explained in greater detail there. As a reminder, the 7,250 Conquest Point requirement to purchase non-elite Conquest Point weapons is being removed with patch 5.3.

A number of significant changes are coming to PvP and PvP gear:

• All characters now have a base Resilience of 65%.
• Battle Fatigue now reduces the effectiveness of healing and absorb spells and abilities by 45% (was 30%).
• PvP Power bonus to healing is now based on class and specialization.
  • Healing specializations receive a 100% bonus to healing from PvP Power.
  • Damage specializations for Druids, Monks, Paladins, Priests, and Shaman receive a 70% bonus to healing from PvP Power.
  • All other specializations and classes (including tanking) receive a 40% bonus to healing from PvP Power.

Patching Smoothly
It’s easy to make sure that you’re ready to play when the realms become available on patch day. If you haven’t played in a while, one of the simplest things you can do is open the World of Warcraft launcher and allow the updater to download the latest available game files. If you use user interface add-ons, make sure you have the latest versions and that they’re updated and ready to go for the new patch. This is also a good time to update your video card’s drivers.

Hearthstone Fireside Duels Will Be Streaming Live Via Twitch.tv May 9th At 10am PDT.

It has been two weeks since the last Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Fireside Duel, and I don’t know about you, but I have been anxiously awaiting their next one.  I have been jumping from Facebook to Twitter to their website like a crazy person, just so I won’t miss it.  The announcement finally came in last night… lead designer, Eric Dodds, as well as game designer and “shout-caster extraordinaire,” Ben Brode,  will be playing multiple Hearthstone fireside duels for our entertainment on their twitch channel, twitch.tv/playhearthstone, on May 9th at 10am PDT.  On top of that, they will be answering our questions from twitter and twitch. 

As it stands, we have seen mage vs. shaman, warrior vs. paladin, and warlock vs. druid (shown at Pax East).  I am eager to see some of the other classes play and get a look at some of their cards.  The rogue has been a complete mystery to me, so I cannot wait to see what it can do.  The warlock has some fairly interesting cards that I wouldn’t mind seeing in action.  After reading and seeing all of the developments and growth to Anduin’s character, I cannot wait to see what he can do as a priest.  I am, however, a paladin at heart, so I will not mind seeing more of Uther the Lightbringer.  What class are you most looking forward to seeing?  

Here’s the next question on everyone’s mind, does this mean we’re drawing closer to a beta?  I’m thinking so.  The few duels we have seen so far have looked great.  If the game is now polished enough for a livestream, than I really feel like we are getting closer to a beta.  They did say at Pax East that it will be out soon, and not “Blizzard soon,” so I’m betting it will be mid June for beta.

NetEase has launched a Mists-Focused WoW Mahjong Set

 NetEase, one of the world’s largest retailers of WoW-focused and other Blizzard merchandise, has launched a WoW Mahjong Set. This set, while not specifically advertised as having a Mists of Pandaria theme, features Pandaria as well as the Panda pawprint emblem heavily throughout. 

As can be seen, above, the tiles all feature the panda pawprint, which is also emblazoned on the poker chips which can be seen in the middle, and the dice. The cloth play-mat, when folded out, is a map of Pandaria, The box itself is also WoW-themed.

The cost of the set is around $208, according to currency conversion websites at today’s rates, which are of course subject to change, it is priced at 1288 Yuan on the NetEase website. The set is a limited edition of 1,000, which is rumored to be the worldwide allocation, rather than just the allocation for China’s market, but given how popular it’s proving, and the coverage it’s getting, we can only hope for more copies to be created. I know I’d like one! 

If you do want to try to get your hands on one of these limited edition WoW Mahjong sets, the first thing you’ll need is some software that translates webpages, such as Google Translate, unless you’re fluent in Chinese. There doesn’t appear to be an english option! Once you’ve got that down, you’ll need to find your way to the page where you sign up for a NetEase account, and do so. You’ll get a verification email, which may well land in your spam folder, and that will let you place your name in the pre-order section. It doesn’t seem overly expensive for something so beautifully made, so be prepared for disappointment!

This week in Conspiracy Craft, we play connect the dots between several of Azeroth’s big baddies of World of Warcraft lore! Grab the tinfoil!

Conspiracy Craft is GAMEBREAKER’s World of Warcraft show that focuses on the story and possible avenues that Blizzard‘s development team could take with it. This week I look for some hidden links between all of Azeroth’s baddies that will blow your mind!

Burning Legion

The Burning Legion are big, bad demons that leave destruction as they journey across the universe. They are the boogy-men to magic users of Azeroth and reportedly, they are drawn to the planet for its abundant magic source, but for whatever reason they could not easily tromp through. It was during Queen Azshara’s reign over the Kaldori that one particular demon was able to tempt her with unspeakable power–Sargeras.

Sargeras

Sargeras was once the defender of the universe and Champion of the Pantheon, the Titans, he waged a never ending war against evil which caused him to go into a brooding depression–an abnormal behavior for a titan. He started to question the vision of an ordered universe and openly confronted some of his fellow titans. But they were resolute in their beliefs and he left their ranks forever. Soon after, he freed the very demons he had imprisoned in the Twisting Nether and started the Burning Legion.

This is where the story crosses. In the RTS, originally the Eredar had been the cause to Sargeras’s questioning madness. He had simply been a footnote in the history of Azeroth and of minor importance. But when The Burning Crusade announced that the Draenei would be a new playable race, the lore team had to rewrite that section of the story. The Draenei were once part of the Eredar race, but when Sargeras came to their world to recruit commanders of his Burning Legion, they took up a new name as their home-world burned. Which leaves open the question, what could have corrupted a titan?

Ner’Zhul, the First Lich King

Everyone is familiar with the original Lich King, Ner’zhul. He was an Orc from Draenor who had been tricked by the Burning Legion, Kil’jaeden, to enslave his people in a blood pact. After he discovered the deceit, he wasn’t much of an activist during the Dark Portal’s construction. It was his apprentice, Gul’dan, who lead the first Human and Orc conflict, the First War. Later, Gul’dan died trying to retrieve an item of power from the Tomb of Sargeras.

Ner’Zhul was pushed back into action to reopen the portal to retrieve several artifacts from Azeroth, one including the skull of his former apprentice. But Gul’dan was just as powerful after his death and fueled his master’s thirst for power. This power ripped Draenor apart into the Outlands as he tried to escape the Burning Legion, but he failed to avoid the grasp of Kil’jaeden. His body was torn apart, his spirit cast into the ice of Northrends. Blizzard says that his mental powers and magical abilities was what started his control over the Scourge, but Dawn of the Aspects by Richard A. Knaak might hint to something else entirely?

Father of Dragons

Galakrond was a very large proto-dragon before the Aspects were even Aspects and is referred as the father of dragons. Strangely, he began to start eating his own kind, the smaller proto-dragons, and this caused a mutation within him. He stank of death and he would sometimes regurgitate the other protos which were also infected with undeath. Also, he was able to control the undead very similarly to the Lich King. This has lead me to believe that the root of the Undeath Plague started with Galakrond. So when he was slain in Dragonblight, there was no where for his power to go and so it waited in the snow and ice until Ner’Zhul showed up. Since the last parts of Dawn of the Aspects haven’t been released at this time, I have a theory that the Old Gods were whispering to him and influenced his craving for flesh of his own kind.

Service Award Includes Blizzard Sword Mounted With a Shield

There’s a new item up on Ebay that includes a Blizzard sword and shield. This awesome set is a service award for Blizz employees of five and ten years. Now, you too can know what’s it’s like to own the spoils of working for the gaming behemoth. The Blizzard sword is given to members of the team who have reached the five-year mark. The Shield goes to those who have stuck it out—or survived—for ten. Ebay vendor, Gemmintwen, has put these items up for bid and he’s asking $20,000 for them.

“This is an extremely RARE collectible from one of the 21st century’s greatest games and employers…There are VERY few of these given out over the years.  The current/past employees cherish them as a priceless museum piece and reminder of their hard work and dedication over a minimum of 10 consecutive years.  How many of these do you think exist?”

The Blizzard Swords and Shields ceremony takes place every year to honor the employees who have made it to the five and ten year milestones of employment. There is a special ring given to those who make it to fifteen. The very few folks who have reached twenty years—remember Blizzard started in 1991—receive a beautiful Diablo-inspired mask. Most of these items stick with the same design, but each year sees a unique sword. The Blizzard Swords and Shields website has photos of them all.

Gemmintwen specializes in Blizzard collectables, specifically those from employees. The vendor boasts that each item is bought directly from an ex-employee. Other items include a bronze statue given exclusively to employees in 2007 and holiday cards. The name of the employee who has sold the Blizzard sword and shield has been taken away for privacy. However, that information will be revealed to the buyer as proof of authenticity.

How much do you think a Blizzard sword and shield would be worth? Is 20K a steep price, or is it an investment in something that will be worth more down the road? Perhaps a collector will nab it, mount it on the wall and dream of being part of the magic.

The Legendary Crew talk through the recent Blizzard interview, discussing the Devs responses on PvP rewards, Spectator Modes and potential fixes for low-pop realms.

Josh Allen, Gary Gannon and Olivia Grace are once again joined by host of Convert to Raid, Pat Krane, to discuss the week’s World of Warcraft news. This week we have a ton to cover, from the various Blizzard interviews taking place as well as some interesting hotfixes. 

• First up though, some tweets from Blizzard Lead Systems Designer Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street. He talks about how the development team wishes they’d incorporated more options, more clear direction at level 90, but also more difficulty levels, and more dungeons, perhaps in patch 5.3. 
• There was not only the huge, huge CoveritLive interview, but also an Ask The Devs during the week dealing specifically with PvP. Not a huge amount of revolutionary news in there, but the System Design Team snuck in a doozy right at the end, saying that a battleground could be cut. The team discuss which battleground it could be, and why.
• Moving into the CoveritLive interview, the first interesting tidbit was a comment from Ghostcrawler on a potential solution for low-pop realms. He said they are “working on a plan” but wasn’t any more specific than that. The team discuss what it could be… 
• They also talk about some new work they’re doing on phasing. This should hopefully allow players to play together all the time, even if they’re in different phases, removing one of the main obstacles to this feature’s use is a great step
• PvP Designer Brian Holinka had a lot to say, starting off with some ideas about division systems for ranked PvP, like those in Call of Duty or League of Legends. The team then move on to talking about his later response in the Blizzard Interview regarding some changes in the manner in which points are awarded in battlegrounds, pushing players harder to focus on objectives. 
• And finally for PvP news, he says they’re not planning a spectator mode in Arenas or Rated Battlegrounds.
• There was plenty of PvE news, too, with Cory Stockton asserting that the incredibly fast patch cycle that players have become used to will continue into the foreseeable future. Another thing Cory was asked about was whether the Siege of Orgrimmar would offer any new environments. He confirmed that it would.
• Also on the story side, there was some great discussion with Dave Kosak regarding the Alliance’s too-good ways.
• And last up, a very interesting hotfix to Mogu Runes of Fate!

It’s Warrior Vs. Paladin, In This Epic Hearthstone Battle.

Patch 5.4′s Siege of Orgrimmar has been leaked and it appears Uther the Lightbringer defeats Garrosh Hellscream with the help of Baine Bloodhoof… wait, this is a Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft battle.  Blizzard released a Warrior vs. Paladin video today, pitting Garrosh against Uther.  

This is the second gameplay/shoutcasting video Blizzard has released and they have been incredibly informative and entertaining.  Hearthstone designer Ben Brode does a great job explaining what each card does without taking the excitement out of the brawl.  

A few noteworthy minion cards were played that I feel need to be discussed.  There seems to be quite a few complaints about Illidan Stormrage being a minion card.  Blizzard has said that there will be nine heroes to choose from, and it has been fairly basic.  You have your mage, shaman, warrior, and so on.  Illidan doesn’t fit in to these “basic” characters; therefore, he is a minion.  

The Cairne Bloodhoof card was especially interesting for several reasons.  The first being that certain cards react differently towards certain heroes.  Cairne has a special reaction towards Garrosh, calling him out when he is played.  That is a neat added effect.  On top of that, when the Cairne card dies it summons Baine Bloodhoof as his successor.  

Leeroy Jenkins makes his appearance has a minion and he’s considered an unpredictable card to play.  The outcome could be in your favor or not.  Playing the Leeroy Jenkins card summons whelps that join your opponents team.  

My favorite moment in this battle had to be when the brawl card was played.  This card sucks every minion into a brawl, with only one victor remaining.   Garrosh plays the brawl card shortly after his Leeroy Jenkins card.  The victor this time, a whelp.  Cairne Bloodhoof was also caught up in the brawl, did not survive, and was succeeded by his son Baine.  

In the end, Uther defeats Garrosh (only after briefly trolling him), joining our previous victor, Thrall.  Which heroes would you like to see next?
