Mike has it down 100%! I was in Baltimore with him and the others and we all came out of there with our minds spinning! Each wanted a copy of the game to continue playing. I’d love to go down the check list of what he was saying and respond to him, but there’s just not enough time or room!! Thanks for saying all the things I didn’t have room for in my article on 38Fans, Mike! Hope to see you again.

Hey guys, great coverage on KoA:R, I’m impressed you were able to get so much previously unreleased in-game footage.

I just thought I’d clarify regarding the game’s development, that 38S were working on “Copernicus” for some time before they decided to add Reckoning to their IP franchise. Big Huge Games were already working on a single player RPG and had done quite a bit of work developing the backbone of the graphics and combat engines. 38S decided to buy out BHG and use those tools to release a single player game designed to introduce players to the world, factions, geography, history, and lore of Amalur.

The MMO is still very much alive, and has not been sacrificed in favor of the single player game. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw an unveil for the Amalur MMO sometime before Reckoning releases early next year.

This episode has me craving KoA: Reckoning!  I saw it as another Elder Scrolls wannabe before, but now I see how much more potential it has.

Thanks for the show!  I’ll be donating extra for this one!

KoA:R is perhaps my most anticipated game release (second to Copernicus) ever.  This really is a “for RPG gamers by RPG gamers” title.  Can’t wait.

Kingdoms of Amalur kind of fell off my radar when the first game release was downgraded to a single player rpg. My interest has been reinstated. I will certainly be checking it out.

I’m excited about KoA:R. The game play looks amazing, the graphics are
stunning and the story sounds stellar. Also, I did a little research and
knowing the story is by one of my favorite authors, R.A. Salvatore, is
also a plus. A definite buy for me.
