Good move by RIOT. I don’t play LOL, but if this action helps their community then it’s a good thing. I only hope that this example reverberates to other gaming communities and troublemakers clean up their behavior.

I am glad they are getting rid of people like this. I am absolute afraid to play PvP games because of people like this… I am a casual player, I play for Fun. But people like this make fun game, like League, hard to play…

    Actually, he’s kind of right, MOBA’s like LoL bring the absolute worst out of people. I’ve seen some of the nicest folks turn into utter jackasses whilst playing a MOBA, a genre where you make the tiniest of mistakes and everyone never lets you live it down the rest of the entire match. I like MOBA’s but I just refuse to play them anymore because of the extremely piss poor community’s that spring from them. Even with LoL’s “Tribunal”, the “Tribunal” just can’t keep up with the sheer amount of people who get reported each day. If they seriously got rid of every asshat who was violating the Code of Conduct / Terms of Service / EULA then the player base would be shrunk drastically.

Its a good move to ban him in the scope of things. One of the reasons I don’t play LoL much is because its not my idea of fun to play a match for 45 minutes and spend most of the time being harassed which happens a good percentage of the time. It may be better now since the tribunal. But Gary is right, the stigma is there. Despite that I’m a huge fan of LoL and watch as many live events as I can. I particularly loved IPL5. My biggest concern here is how this will affect Dignitas as a team. Luckily there is a bit of time now after IPL5 before the next major tournament, so it should give them time to hopefully get their lineup issues figured out.

However I wanted to point out that CLG did not underperform in IPL5. Their end placement put them higher than some of the best EU and Korean teams. Especially after watching IPL5 I think its pretty unfair to see that the 6th place team is crap compared to the team that came in 3rd or 4th.

WE and Fnatic were playing on a much higher level than the other teams but I think in the grand scheme of things the top 6 teams are all pretty close and any given tournament you could see Moscow 5, one of the CLG’s, Azubu, TPA or Fnatic win.

Great move banning him, Last night my friend asked me to play AD Carry (I usually play AP Mid) so I got one of the easier champs and played AD Carry for him for the first time at this position, I wasn’t doing horrible; and I was positive K + A – D; however every time I made a mistake I was ripped into more the went on my performance went down. My friend asked me why I reported him because he has seen much worse, I told I want to win you can have an inexperienced team and win with positive messages going out to the team, joking around making everyone feel good. No matter how good your team is the second you get someone ripping into another it affects both the person doing the trash talking’s performance and the person they are verbally abusing.

So am I the only one actually enjoys how scum of the earth the lol community, I look at it as they are random people on the internet so their opinions of me don’t matter to me so I honestly find their trolling and rage entertaining and would probably find the game less entertaining if that goes away.

Just like in real life, if you go into someone’s home and mouth off to those inside, the owner has the right to call the police and have you put in jail. If it’s not ok in real life, it’s not ok in a game on the internet. Kudos to RIOT for banning this child who obviously had no “home training” growing up.

iwilldominate may have been an asshole but if they want to make bans for people that have a toxic attitude time from time trolling or even just being a bad sport then you should ban hotshotgg i like clg but ive seen hotshot play and he does not follow the summoners code ill tell you why he wont get banned clg is to profitable for riot thts why
