Legendary the World Of Warcraft Show EP92

  • Depravity

The banner screencap montage of this show is pure undiluted evil. Mike B looks like a f. old grudgy grannie from Dead Alive, the movie. Horryfing… but also awesome;)

What a great title for the front page.

is it just me or is the sound a little out in this ep.?

Well I must say, that’s a banner.   I do have to agree, the landslide enchant does make your flying mount look like its burning oil bad.

I would pay for an add free premium version of Gamebreaker, seriously as long as its only like 5 to 10 bucks a month I could live with that. I really don’t want to have to listen to another dove commercial. I realize you guys would still have to do the netflix plug in the show but I don’t care about those just commercial video free programming for a premium.

You do realize the difference between 5 to 10 dollars a month and the actual revenue of advertising are VASTLY different right?

on the talent system for level 95, remember that they’ve redone the talent system to some extent every expansion. i figure they’ll redo it again next expansion.

  • http://twitter.com/Deadalon Deadalon

Lesson learned.   WOW will release new expansion every two years – no matter if they say it will be one year.

    • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Two years would be fine, but they can’t skip a tier of raiding and any bonus content.

Need the full four tiers of content, plus a bonus uber hardcore area (questing, dungeon, raid).

Plus, if challenge modes takes off like I suspect, a new challenge dungeon every quarter would be good.

There is a program called Blue Stacks that you can run Android aps on PC, that is how I have been able to run it. So you don’t NEED a smartphone, just a creative work around :)

Also nice to see Two Face (Harvey Dent) getting into MoP

I remember WoW launch, TBC and WotLK because that was WoW’s main era. However Cataclysm I didn’t give a shit about WoW because WotLK dumbed WoW down so hard and all my friends had quit by that point. I paid attention to Cataclysm because it was redoing the old world, so I was excited to see that so I was hyped. Sadly they made the game even easier and the world was more linear than ever with the boring quest hubs.

This is the first expansion I just don’t give a crap about, I wont be buying and haven’t even played beta and none of my friends have even bothered. WoW is not only old but Blizzard have had too many chances, at this point WoW is a shell of it’s former self and Pandas just don’t excite me.

I do however play a WoW Vanilla Emu server and love that game, I just don’t like what Blizzard have turned it into. If Blizzard had a classic server expansion with WoW PVP being alive again, I’d be there. I just don’t want their dumbed down hub based GW clone.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=613400106 Francois Brisson

How does one clone something that came after it ?

    • Josh Rosenvelt

I can tell you after playing rift you realise how dumbed down wow is, I actually have a lot more admiration for guilds clearing content in rift then in wow.

    • Svenskalkoholkultur

I’M A VETERAN PLAYER AND I’VE PLAYED SINCE VANILLA SO THEREFORE I AM MORE IMPORTANT OF A PERSON THAN THE NEW PLAYERS THAT CAME IN CATACLYSM.

I’M VERY DISSAPOINTED IN BLIZZARD FOR MAKING THE GAME SO BAD. VANILLA WAS COMPLETELY PERFECT AND THE ENDLESS GRINDING AND IMBALANCED PVP JUST MADE THE GAME MORE CHALLENGING! I HATE THAT THEY’VE IMPROVED THE GAME SO THAT PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE GAME WHILE KEEPING UP THEIR SOCIAL LIFES!

THE GAME SHOULD BE MADE MORE CHALLENGING SO THAT ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO DEVOTE THEIR ENTIRE LIFE TO A VIRTUAL GAME MEANT FOR FUN CAN PLAY THE GAME! YOU WOULD HAVE TO DO A QUEST THAT REQUIRES YOU TO KILL 30,0000 ELITE MOBS TO BE ABLE TO RAID AND PLAY PVP. RAIDS WILL HAVE 200 PEOPLE AND THE BOSSES WILL ONE SHOT EVERYONE THAT DOESN’T HAVE ACHIEVEMENTS AND TIER 3000 GEAR WHICH THEY WILL GET BY NOT BEING NOOBS!

I THINK I’M GOING TO QUIT BECAUSE SPACE GOATS, GNOMES AND TALKING COWS ARE NOT CHILDISH IN ANYWAYS BUT PANDAS ARE GOING TO RUIN THE GAME. I’M NOT ACTUALLY GOING TO QUIT BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO BUT TO SIT ON MY FAT !@# ALL DAY COMPLAINING ABOUT NOOBS AND HOW THE GAME IS SO BAD ON TRADE CHAT.

BLIZZARD SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR IMPROVING THEIR GAME!

  • Rob1003

There is no big World Event as a build up as this is the first expansion where there is no big End Boss to build the theme around.

I am disappointed so far in what I’ve seen of their new area sharing technology. The downside I have encountered is severe server lag and the increased demand in resources making it almost impossible to gather metal ores and plants now.

Is Blizzard going to reduce the monthly subscription fee since they are no longer providing dedicated servers??? Now people on low pop servers who CHOSE to roll on it are now having the shared areas stampeded over from players from high pop servers. While the concept may seem to have some benefits so far the negatives are more pronounced and I feel like I am getting even LESS value for my subscriber dollar!

    • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Was expecting a big Theramore event, but the scenario should be a nice touch.  Still holding out hope for the 5.1 patch, would be nice for a sea battle between the Horde and Alliance fleets. We will see.

That is an interesting observation about resource gathering. With cross realm zones, I suspect the competition for resources will be fairly high. The crafted weapons from the beta were sweet.  The one week delay on normal raids and delay past that for lfr could lead to some fearsome competition for the crafting materials for Ghost Blades (MikeB’s blades of awesome.)

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=613400106 Francois Brisson

I know Josh was trolling with the self heals no tanks etc, but if Blizzard did that… it would trully be the end of WoW. GW2 dungeons are really shitty, partially for that reason, so I wouldn’t want Blizzard to ruin their PvE to copy GW2.

    • ArsenicSundae

No worries.  There isn’t a developer left at Blizzard with the talent to copy GW2.

      • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

I hope they dont copy launching a game with a disfunctional AH and grouping system that doesn’t work.

        • http://www.kaiketsu.enjin.com/ Corey “Crimzen”

Because the WoW launch was much better right? I’m pretty sure the servers were unplayable for days when WoW launched..just saying.

      • Josh Rosenvelt

Wrong, Jeff Kaplan is still there, the guy that did TBC up until ulduar endgame design, he’s currently dev leading project titan.

      • MiZTiiX

copying gw2 pve = instant fail for any game

    • MiZTiiX

      agreed 100%

  • http://www.facebook.com/lpeace.88 Leo Lamphier

I have an even easier way to fix the engineer AH. Mail everything to a bank alt sitting in a capital city. Then before you get off for the day hop on the bank alt and get all the mail and post it to the AH. Fixed

  • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Guess they dropped the “Cloud of Poop” title for the episode.

Don’t even need the Smartphone App, you can do the exact same from the website with an auction house.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Feyd-Darkholme/100000194391744 Feyd Darkholme

I personally miss the big, epic lead up events to new content/expansions… It serves a great purpose, especially now I feel. To get people that were burned out with the game because they ran out of content back into the game and excited for the new expansion. I still have items from the previous events (Blessed Undead Slayer armor is great for Transmog!), and it brings back very fond memories and did a great job reinvesting me in the game. That is great PR for the game and I would imagine goes a long way towards reinvigorating people’s interest pre-expansion. I am really not sure what they are thinking here because I could not disagree with their mindset about these events more.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Feyd-Darkholme/100000194391744 Feyd Darkholme

Also, the reason why there has been less and less participation and interest in the pre-expansion events is a direct result of them being less interesting, exciting and involved. Blizzard spend less time, effort, thought and development time in them, they are less interesting and memorable… The question then becomes (now think back to the GoAQ, pre-TBC and to a lesser extent pre-Wrath events) is the cost and time investment worth it? In my estimation, only if you make them on the scale of the pre-TBC event or even the pre-Wrath one… if you aren’t going to put that kind of effort in it’s probably a waste of time. I for one wish they would start putting the effort in again because those types of memories make me stay with WoW… and come back and be interested again.

  • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Back to the “Cloud of Poop” title.

  • Old Ben

They didn’t change back everything about the faces, BTW. Some changes made it into live.

I remember I had a draenei with a MikeB-style “beard” (facial landing strip?), and one day I logged in and he had a Mexican-style mustache. I went into the barber but the original style was simply gone. I think that’s what annoyed people; instead of adding new styles they completely changed some of the existing ones.

  • Carcaridondk

What was the website for Ghostcrawler’s interview?

Love how those of us who can’t get Netflix (outside the US) still get stuck with the ads for it.

    >.< I used to have Thottbot as a keyboard hotkey when I first started playing world of warcraft.
