Yup, Played WoW since Beta, Cataclysm pushed me away from WoW, but I kept up with it hated Pandaren in WC3, when they announced them, they lost me as a player forever.

Ever since I quit playing WoW a year and half or so ago I’ve been able to finally afford a decent gaming PC, and whenever I’ve tried to go back to it I can never quite get that appeal that it had to me back in WOTLK when I used to raid. I know personally I’ll be playing GW2 later tonight for the early access release, so I won’t even bother trying out the new patch. WoW is just dead to me, and it’ll take one hell of a “scroll of resurrection” to bring me back. I guess we’ll see how MoP turns out when it releases.

I was going to buy GW2, but then I saw the price tag. Also, D3 has no subscription fee, and how many people still play that horrible game? Additionally, while there is no monthly sub fee for GW2, there are still going to be micro transactions everywhere, possibly increasing the total monthly cost over the $15 that wow costs.

Does Gary have so little respect left for this show’s comunity that he feels like he just needs to flaunt his lack of give a crap for WoW? Calling in drunk, many many refrences that make it obviouse that he does not play or know about the game on which this show is based, and letting his dog eat the mic for long period of time,are all thing that make me angry. I can deal with Fony being removed from pvp, even with his lack of participation he is respectful and adds other insight to the conversations. Gary seems to just hate being here. If Gary hates WoW, please move on and let Mike S. take over as host. Mike is great on the show. If the trend continues not only will I not watch any more, but I will apoligising to the people to whom I have recomended the show to in the past.

I usually never comment, but I felt the need to counter-balance some of the hatred going on here. It’s a show about a game, it’s 3 guys having fun discussing with one another and I love it for the fun that they have, not the actual content they speak of. I mean I follow mmo-champ or what have you every day, I already know the facts they discuss. It’s the way that they discuss them that makes me tune in every week.

That said, Sophie and everyone’s reaction to her was hilarious, as is Gary’s trolling and messing about. While games can be *played* very very seriously, IMHO they should never ever be *taken* seriously.
