i personally think that games like world of warcraft will not work as an esport..to many spells.
the only people that will understand it are people that are hardcore into the arena community.
battlegrounds might work but arena will not.
its obvious why games and starcraft and league of legends work.
this spell puts a huge splash art on the screen and the other guys health bar drops.
world of warcraft… a druid pops barkskin and a little spining art pops up around a giant tuaren covered in fancy sparkling gear.

its too easy to understand a game of starcraft or leauge of legends even if u have little to no experience in the game. only because there are less spells, and becasue those spells that are there are very… for lack of a better word loud. now i do think games like guild wars will work as an esport for the same reasons stated above.

this is just my theroy.

  It’s really not too bad. But it needs a kick butt UI.
  
  - Need to track health and mana pools.
  - Major defensive CDs and a countdown on when it become available again.
  - Major healing CDs and a countdown on when it next becomes available.
  - Some type of UI element that show dps building for a massive dps burst.

    When Garry is bored and presenting Legendary I cannot watch as the whole program is derailed with Garry trying to and sometime succeeding to be funny. At least Mr. Schaffnit is enthusiastic about the subjects he talks about.

      I don’t mind Mike S and agree about Gary sometimes. Generally he is fun to watch, but when he “jams” over the title track or get’s on his “pvp power” schtick, it’s like nails on a chalkboard. I think you can tell the other hosts are equally annoyed when Gary tries to be silly and they want to get back to the topic.

    I have to agree with many that you make a very enthusiastic host and I personally find you to be a very pleasant one at that. I prefer a host that is into his subject matter, nothing against Gary I like him too, and having a host like that makes, imo, the show much more interesting.

    Sorry Mike, it came out way more harsh and troll like than I had intended.
    I was just meaning that there are some hosts that I like, and some that just rub me the wrong way for w/e reason.
    What I rudely was trying to say was that I would like it if shows list who is hosting, since the hosts seem to shift in and out randomly every week, and it would be nice to know if even loading up the shows was something I want to do.
    So I apologize for being a dick.

  Shaff isnt as bad as you all would like to believe, its just Ganon is so much better at hosting due to his experience with other networks. shaff is ok , he learned a lot from Gary also so I dont get the fuss

I don’t raid, maybe I should but I cannot dedicate the time needed and would be unfair to someone who is serious about raiding to take that slot. I have tried LFR in the past which has always turned into a massive disaster and I’ve got put off trying again (during Cata that is) What I would love to see them so with Lesser Charms is to give people a way to spend them or trade goods or transmog items, that way at least players would a have a way to spend a currency that is otherwise wasted for many.

  I have a couple of alts that only do LFR. If you have a group that runs LFR together, that would be great. Then you won’t feel pressured to always attended the scheduled raids.
  
  I’ve seen several podcast hosts talk about running LFR groups. I think it would be fun if Gamebreaker ran a weekly lfr with the Gamebreaker community. You show up when you can, the loot takes care of itself. You only have to play your role.

If the gear upgrade system becomes a problem with new raid content, maybe Blizzard could use their gear normalization tech to temporarily remove gear upgrades. Blizzard can then remove the debuff once the top guilds beat the heroic raids.

  Simply making BG/Arena their own “game” inside the game. PvP spec, pvp versions of spells etc. That way PvP gear/changes can’t break PvE and PvE cannot break PvP

    Huh? My post was about upgrading your gear with VP, JP, CP or honor. My suggestion is normalizing out the upgrades to heroic gear the first few weeks of a new raid.
    
    As far as your response with a game within a game for PvP. That would be awful, you end up with that bizarre crap they have in GW2 sPvP, where you’re characters looks nothing like and plays nothing like it plays in the persistent world.

    I’m thinking for the top, top guilds. Once they beat the final boss of the tier, they move from progression to farm mode. So they appreciate boss nerfs and a gear upgrade system, anything that would make farming raids faster.
    
    While the rest of us QQ about nerfing bosses, top guild love it if it means faster raid farming.

The problem is not cc being instant. The problem is there are way too many instant abilities in general. Damage and healing should mostly have casttimes, cc should stay as it is except for the spammable ones.

Things like sheep, fear, cyclone should NEVER be instant. All the spammable ranged cc has to have a casttime of what it used to be, the other ccs should be left untouched.

  He purchased Mists but didn’t level Fony to level 90 before the baby came. Which is too bad, Warriors are kicking some ass right now.

Lesser charms are in the game to get people back into the world. Not to give you extra rolls, that is just the carrot to GET YOU BACK INTO THE WORLD. Dailies is the only way to do that. Get over it and do your dailies.
