More curious how this needs flash in Firefox, but works in IE9 without flash installed and now on my iPhone too.

New player is working fine here but videos still auto-play, which is annoying and a waste of bandwidth. Is it so hard to start the video paused and wait for a mouse click before downloading / playing?

It’s bad enough that we can’t just open multiple articles from the main page (or rather, we can, but then we have to go to each tab and pause every video, otherwise they all start playing at the same time), but some people pay for bandwidth (especially on mobile devices), and auto-play causes videos to be transferred every time we open an article, even if we just want to read the text or reply to some comment.

Good show, everyone, great job.

About server/faction transfers I don’t think they should be free, because that would cause a mess on population balance between servers/factions, but that’s just because how the system works.
I mean, if on a server there are more horde players, then there is a benefit to transfer to horde (Tol Barad, for example), not to alliance! So if things aren’t controlled there would just be almost no alliance players on that server.

However… Blizz is really missing a great opportunity to use server transfers to make things more balanced. And what I mean now is: if there are more alliance players on a server, then make transfers to horde completely free! And transfers on the other direction should still be expensive. For servers it should work the same way: if some servers are overpopulated make server transfers free to low populated servers! That would definitely make servers and factions more balanced.

The responsiveness is the most understated thing Blizzard did right. I still think other MMOs — WAR, Rift, SWTOR, The Secret World — have not nailed it. One of the reasons I’m excited for Guild Wars 2 is because it seems to nail it as well as World of Warcraft.
