After Gary Gannon’s week off, he, Josh Allen and Olivia Grace are back with another episode of Legendary, the World of Warcraft show, looking at patch 5.2′s PTR!!

We’ve got a lot to talk about after our short hiatus, this week we’re looking at:

  • Item upgrades will be completely removed in patch 5.2, will they return for patch 5.3 or be gone for good?
  • Blizzard blog about huge PvP changes coming in patch 5.2, including Tyrannical and Elite Tyrannical gear.
  • Catch up mechanism for PvP gearing
  • New tier of raid gear added: Thunderforged gear will be 6 item levels above normal gear, and 25-mans will have a higher chance to drop this new gear.
  • A PvP Legendary is en route?!
  • Blizzard finally scale players in low-level battlegrounds!
  • Didn’t win a rated battleground? Don’t worry, you could still get points!
  • Two of the top US guilds, Exodus and Vodka, have merged!
  • And Ghostcrawler teases a new, unannounced feature on Twitter!

And, of course, we answer your viewer questions! Send your questions in to submit@gamebreaker.tv, we particularly love your video questions, and keep an eye on our facebook to submit them there!

    RIP Mars Volta indeed

    You’ve been…… thunder forged.

Regarding the PvP gear becoming available for all to me is a great idea but sadly about 3 years to late. After being farmed in Arenas and BGs by fully geared pros I gave up and have not entered a BG for a good three years. The problem is Blizzards and not the pros but this is to little to late for me and maybe many others.

So is Olivia here until Chinhawk gets back or will Skippy, Schaffy or someone else have a turn?

Blood Elves would have Tramp Stamps and you know it!

a problem is that a great deal of 25 man guilds have already died. so at this point, the gear wouldn’t be saving 25 mans as much as trying to get it to grow again.

also, curious to see if the thunder forged gear could have an impact on world first races. meaning, those guilds hit heroics in week two and one guild gets no thunder forged gear, and another guild gets that perfect piece of heroic thunder forged gear for the right person. something to watch.

It’s possible, but quite unlikely that a guild will be getting Heroic Thunderforged pieces in large quantities within the couple of week it will most likely take for the race to end.

So the problem with 25 man raiding is server transfer fees and the number of servers.

Grace, pvp and pve are not the same thing. For starters, when you pull a boss it is always the same boss. It is not like you pull a boss on normal and all of the sudden he gets 30% more damage and is know has different abilities. PVP even witht he best match making system will from time to time have incredibly skewed matches.  In PVE if you wipe over and over again the boss does not get harder. In pvp with you lose a lot the other teams do get harder as they get more gear than you.

Well, Lore, they already did add the Wildhammer dwarves in Cataclysm, that’s how dwarves can be shamans now.

PvP changes .. if you are not the guy who caps Conquest every week, but just got little late to season, then the changes are void.

I would like to just jump in into PvP 3-4 times a week for an hour… WoW is not, and will not be game for this. With current pvp gear system, the difference between cap and earned conquest would have to increase also rate at which you get points, for system realy work. Otherwise it works just for very little amount of people who reroll new character and wants to go hardcore. Anyone else should better keep away from PvP all togather.

Bout fucking time for the PvP changes on gear requirements.  2200 rating was not such a big deal several seasons ago before DDOSing and “rating selling” were prevalent.  The PvP community has degenerated to shit as a result of this imo.  Not saying that these changes will completely fix that but it will make a huge difference.

25:24.. the thing is.. they may have the gear.. but doesn’t mean they can play..just like pve  they may have a 485 i lvl but doesn’t mean they can understand the fights and produce top dmg for the fight

41:49  thunderforge gear.. make a seperate drop to the individual toon (for that toon only) along side the reg loot drop.. same drop rate as 10 man’s.. about like lfr is a bit..
