Everybody’s freaking out man!

The Black Market Auction House has stirred up a wasps’ nest of forum anxiety and stinging backlash. Zarhym came out to try and throw a cold bucket of water over the baying crowd and tell everyone to just chill out.

Did his defense of the BMAH quell the concerns of our crew?

Zarhym also asked for something unheard of: help with numbers. The theorycrafting community was called to arms — and spreadsheets — to give feedback on the current state of the numbers in Mists of Pandaria.

Is this a welcome acknowledgement of the work done in the number-crunching community? Or does this raise concerns that Blizzard is struggling to balance its own game?

Finally, raiders have something to get their precisely honed teeth into, the Stone Guard encounter will be up for testing in the beta. Will these bosses bring anticipation for raiding in the expansion?

And what does raid testing indicate about a release date?

      Well, Cataclysm raids (Dragon Soul and Firelands in particular) added a new type of difficulty; not so much in terms of skill, strategy or memorization of boss timers, just the ability to endure actually being there when you could be doing something else with your life.

        You must have missed MikeB’s Dragon Soul raid on Darnell. I was ROFL when the Darnellify addon kept yelling at him to get closer. Hearing Darnell yell “Get Closer”, “Get Closer”, “Get Closer”, “Wrong Way”, “Wrong Way” was some funny stuff.

Black Market a step for RMAH to WoW?

People paying already on those ‘gold raids’ where u can buy the item. with in game gold.
So having items that are soulbound but you haven’t yet wear’ed it could/would be possible to post on Black Market that would work on Battle.net balance.

The possibilities having Black Market to change as RMAH and going Free to Play are viable to me.

    Every language is derived from some previous language (even “artificial” languages like Esperanto borrow from multiple languages). The word “English” is basically a modern spelling of “Englisc” or “Angelisc”, but the current English language has very little resemblance with the language spoken by the Angle settlers (not really “invaders”; there wasn’t much to invade in those days).
    
    And I suspect most linguists would consider Scots as the language most closely related to English.

Yeah, we’re pretty much being used to be screwed over and over again in Europe by Blizzard. Not the first, nor the last time it happened. Just imagine the troubles with Diablo 3 launch. In US You’ve had it fixed asap, with everything explained on the forums. In EU for the first week, D3 was really unplayable and all we got as an official comment was “it’s done when it’s done, f* off!”

The latest news on EU bluetracker: Authenticators! An amazing novelty!… U srs?!

Dunno, maybe euros smell so bad, they can’t be bothered to pick them up.

Also… we can’t have Netflix… even with gamebreaker trial… :’(

Ps. Lore doesn’t care about nickelback cause he listens to scandinavian metal!

I’m starting to wonder why Gary is even in this show anymore? He brings nothing to the show, his only purpose is to keep the show going i.e. when lore & fony stop talking he reads the next thing in the show notes and derailing the show, honestly most of the shit he does, like the duck hunt just goes to show that he doesn’t care about the show anymore.
Literally anyone can do this job, I actually think a small script could replace him and probably do a better job.

I just find it disrespectful when others are talking about stuff that doesn’t interest you doesn’t mean you should switch the stream to unrelated stuff or play a song over them, etc.

Actually to be completely honest I don’t think Mike plays that much WoW anymore either or has that much to say about it, just seems like “the Lore show”, but at least he has something to contribute and most likely he is going to be playing again in MoP.

  Gary is a wonderful addition to the show and breaks up the perhaps boring to some people parts with a bit of humour, I understand not everyone wants to here about the hardmode raiding scene as I do, part of the show is them all having fun with each other and the chat room, and Gary’s antics are awesome. The best episodes imo are where all four of them including Mike s are on.
  
  On Mikeb not playing wow much, who does right now? He’s also busy with a lot of gamebreaker and his own videos each day.
  
  If it seems to you like the Lore show it might be the hot topics being covered he has a bit more insight on, it’s like Lore is hardcore/pve guy, Mikeb pvp guy and Gary is a casual player, they are all wow players and enjoying it their own way. I have been casual at times and deeply into pvp at others, I’m currently interested in raiding so for me personally I think this show is great for keeping an ear on how pvp is going.
  
  If you like what Lore brings to the show he has TWM and PST, I don’t think we need to direct legendary to that more niche of an audience but it does seem to me those parts of the show are what you personally like the best.

  I would say addons have nothing to do with it I mean I use em, and they do make a difference in raiding but I still say good communication can replace even dbm. things like grid and healing addons help alot but w/e … that being said I would say its not about if they can kill it its about how many attempts it takes them to learn the fight… if they can kill it in very few attempts than yeah. its too easy.

even if the BMAH was putting up these items 1% of the time i think it would be too oftem.. imagine how pissed off you would be as a server first, no lets go one step further a world first raider and you got your items and then realized that people were already equipped in that.

I have played wow for many years now, and as I was playing tonight, I have finally seen what will kill wow in the end….it’s community. I have to say it’s pretty piss poor, and I know you can say well maybe your not playing with the right group of people, but it’s pretty much game wide, I have toons on quite a few servers and I’d have to say I feel like I’m playing with the same group of debbie downers, trolls (not the race), and just people that seem to hate their real lives. I mean I know that the ESRB can’t rate online interactions, but someone needs to. Not a rating per say as to how vulgar or unchild friendly an online game can be, but just a rating on how the community is in general. If I was giving these ratings on wow’s community it would be an F, based on how unhelpful and just outright abrasive the online community interacts with it’s players. I’m just so glad I signed up for this annual pass because after it’s up that’s all the money that blizzard is getting from me…go ahead DISCUSS PLEASE!

  i agree chris I just completed a few BG runs and you hit the nail on the head. Of course server chat was worse than bg chat. People seem to want to attack others for no reason other than to be mean and to me that is not a community. The real players that care don’t respond they just quietly cancel and are gone. One day this is going to really blow up in blizzards face probably sooner than we all think.

  I agree to a point Chris, you’re right, there’s definitely a lot of very unfriendly, pessimistic, and troll-happy people on WoW. However, I began playing in WoW through a friend, and at one point I was part of a guild that I considered somewhat of a family to me. As Cartman from Southpark pointed out (I know, poor refernce): “If you want to make friends on the internet, you gotta wade through all the dicks first.” There are alot of terrible people in the game, but when you manage to find some worthwhile people, it makes them seem like so much better friends. If you wanna cancel your subscription, thats your money and your business, and I respect your viewpoint, because I agree for the most part, I just don’t think its entirely accurate to claim that the ENTIRE WoW community is the scum of the Earth (which I know isn’t exactly what you said, and I apologize if I’ve misunderstood your statement).

  I couldn´t agree more.
  It would seem that this show has become a cashcow for Mr Gannon, I hardly think he cares at all anymore. lately the quality of this show has declined alot, last weeks episode i had to cut short i simply couldn´t watch it till the end, I find my tolerance for the random crap gets smaller each week most likely because it started to piss me off and now I focus on it.
  Anyways last week i watched about half an hour this week it was arround 4 mins, as I write this I decided im going to delete Gtv as my bookmark..

I totally think Blizz will start selling gold at some point because it would complected stop the other gold sellers. Blizz can sell for infinitely less money then a gold farmer or account hacker can. All Blizz has to do is push a button and bam player X is now gold capped. There is no way that the gold sellers could keep up with that. Not to mention the people like me that would buy gold but don’t trust the sites/are afraid of getting the ban hammer. As for them going free to play that is going to happen one day no doubt about it but I don’t think that will be any time soon and I don’t think selling gold will be the reason.
