The war on cheesecake has begun! With Skype lines down for the evening Twitter questions abound revolving around a certain love or hate for the tasty desert, while some viewers ask more serious questions about MOBAs in eSports.

That right, you asked it… and we answer it. This week Mike Schaffnit and Josh Allen turn to Twitter to answer viewer questions and get barraged by cheesecake enthusiasts! But that’s not to say there weren’t a few real view questions this week. With the release of World of Warcraft Patch 5.2: Throne of Thunder many players feel they have been nerfed. Is this really true or are players… *cough* mages… overreacting? And the first questions of the night inquires as to the over saturation of MOBA’s in the eSports scene. Could this be a problem and what can be done to fix it?

The lines are open and the volume is up, so listen up! Caller lines open every Tuesday night at 9PST on Skype… so be sure to tune in live and let YOUR voice be heard!  And, if you missed last week’s episode of After Dark, be sure to catch it here.

A complete list of questions in this week’s show follows.

  • Do you think that the eSports industry is getting too saturated with MOBA style games?
  • I know you guys don’t walk about class updates, but with WoW 5.2, do you think big class nerfs will affect raid group makeup?
  • Who would win in a fight? Treeform Bashiok vs Dressform Schaffnit?
  • If you were making an mmo, would it have the holy trinity? Would you make it player vs environment or player vs player? What other game would you try to make the like?
  • Where would Nintendo be if Mario never existed and where would Apple be if Apples never existed?
  • And of course… all of your cheesecake related shenanigans!!!

If you have questions for AfterDark, be sure to join the guys every Tuesday night.  Or, if you can’t make it to the show, you can still send questions via twitter using the #gbafterdark hashtag.

And, if you missed last week’s episode, be sure to check it out here.

FFXIV ARR has the crafting system you want. You can just be a gatherer. You can just be a crafter. Crafting in FFXIV is pretty enjoyable and it keeps you active in what you’re doing.

What kind of crafting system does FFXIV use? I kind of understand Eve Online crafting, but was wonder about the system you were describing?

i love crafting and profit that comes after that, im also interested in this system.
hope its not just mindless farming for DAYZ or camping for a rare drop just to level up my profession ( no idea if they have levels to begin with )

lets hope skype is not working for the next show also….The twitter questions are the best!

oh and btw Schaffnit… i dont like cheesecake!

  • Unknownman14

Shaf, the only way to kill a cheesecake is to eat it. I’m sorry but its the only way.

  • Dekin

I say it needs to either be cheese or cake. If it cant make up its mind then it should die. I got your back Shaff

There are only two major MOBAs which have legitimate and popular esport recognition; League of Legends and DOTA2. Three if we count HON- which is on life support and needed to be totally remade as of patch 3.0 to make it more League of Legends like.

    No.

Not all MOBAs are “esports” or legitimately played in major tournaments or events.

There are many MOBAs– there are not many MOBA esport titles.

  • Duskwolf

I too have a strong dislike of the one you call cheesecake (and also wine).

Shaffnit, I will join this army of yours against its seeming tyrannical rule, and free the oppressed and much tastier regular cake over which it rules.

You will hear from me soon.

  • Composure

I feel terrible, I missed the yellow dress episode. Where can I find it?

it’s not an “episode” it’s just a story. That has spun WILDLY out of control >.<

One reason I really loved SWTOR PvP is that they really did the holy trinity nicely there; tanks were actually useful when all tank specced characters got guard, which absorbed damage from one nearby ally and taunts reduced damage done to anyone else but the tank.
