This weeks Republic is full of patch related SWTOR news.

This week, on the Republic, the guys discuss the most recent SWTOR patch notes, and they have some bad news… Unfortunately, the level one fantasy axe is no longer 30% off. Oh the humanity!

They’ve taken away the Christmas mount too. Who missed out on their chance to get the lovely lawnmower decorated like a Christmas tree? Well, hopefully it will be back next year.

Of course, those aren’t the only changes to the cartel market. Bioware is adding items regularly. But the question is, are they worth the money?

Rise of the Hutt Cartel has some perks.

In other SWTOR news, Bioware has announced some new perks for those who purchase. Players will now receive five days of early access — IF they ordered before January 7th. Yay?

For those who didn’t make the cut-off, there are still some perks. Anyone who preorders now will get a rather dapper holographic hutt. Check out that monocle. They will also recieve a pet called the Makrin seedling and the title “Scourge of the Hutts.”

  Ed stopped playing MMOs with gear progression PvP. He’s got a nice vlog explaining his feeling on gear progression.
  
  He was all about Guild Wars 2 sPvP, but haven’t heard much about his sPvP play. Seems GW2s sPvP is a little stagnate right now. I only hear about his WvW activities anymore.

Yup bought both – the fantasy axe and the Speeder (as part of the bundle). I love both. The axe actually fits with some Companion characters and I use the speeder as my primary speeder on the character who bought it. I think it’s cool in a cheezy stupid way and love it.

It’s been far too long since we all laughed together while watching “The Republic” Go back to pre-launch episodes an it’s all about laughter, and good feelin hype.

Things got searious an kind of boring being centered on opinion an speculation. I don’t care about that as much, I want to hang with friends an laugh.

Show us you guys playing the game an why it’s a good game. Help us make friends an find things to do in this dreadfully lonely theme park.

Gary, play the game! Get 4th person that also plays the game. Enough speculation! Show us an tell us why this game is good, because we are struggling with it.

  Have to agree with the first half of your post – watching the “reruns” of past episodes is really interesting – especially the oldest ones. However, I’m not too sure of how much of a struggle making friends and finding things to do in this game really is. I don’t know about the server you are playing on, but on The Shadowlands there is always a rip roaring good time going on with plenty of people running about helping each other out – and that’s not even including running with the people in my guild, who are always willing to lend a hand to anyone who asks.

Pod Racing: Have EVERY Pod racer bought with REAL money, not cartel coins. 10 different Podracers, Each Podracer would have a different look.
The expansion would utilize the concept of the personal ships in that there would be slots for upgrades to each podracer, the upgrades would be bought with cartel coins or found around the game world.
The expansion would have 4 tracks, be considered PvP and would in so reward pvp tokens specific to Podracing only

I honestly won’t be surprised if it’s not working as well as you guys think right now. This is the only game I can think of that’s gone 1-2 months without a momentum release. Every other game has had one (even TSW’s mixed layoffs/momentum release), which isn’t very hopeful.

We’ll see in the next week or so during their quarterly earnings call. They can’t ignore it this time and they’ll need to address the current revenue for the game.

And I definitely don’t see it being sustainable in the longterm.

Guys, guys… guys! Get your facts right please. The five day early access to Rise Of The Hutt Cartel was ALWAYS there, since the first announcement. The only thing they added recently are the title, pet and the statue.

I am very far from being a Bioware fan at this point, but at least please do your homework next time Gary.

Hello my name is Ben and I bought the Christmas mount (with credits on the GTN). I like the kitsch appeal of it and how I’m basically one of the very few that have the cojones to ride it. It pops pretty hard with the lights and the blower…..this mount is win.

If only Swtor had a proper space game, swoop racing, pazaak and both gear progression and cosmetic elements to deepen those experiences…. I’d still be playing that game and happily paying for fuzzy dice to hang in my cockpit and a pazaak deck covered in wookie porn on top of a monthly sub. Now I can’t even be bothered to play for free.

i love listening to them talk shit about this game which i was obsessed with until it came out, and i got to 50, and realized there wasnt shit to do anymore. i dont want to make a whole new character and level a alt that shit is not fun. Kotor 1 was my favorite game of all time and i have easily beat it over 20 times. GARY IS THE FUNNIEST MAN. GARY IS THE MAN OF THE YEAR.
