I’m one of the old swtor players who was excited about the f2p option, then I heard about all these horrible restrictions and decided I wouldn’t even go back to it. Now I figured that if I can get all the functionality I need with the free cartel coins I get once the extended free trial hits, I’ll at least give it a chace. I did get the collector’s edition and I was subscribed for quite a while, so I’ll hopefully be getting enough cartel coins to get everything I need to run a few warzones every now and then. I would still subscribe if all my friends hadn’t quit and moved to league of legends…

Could someone please tell me if theres an option to not have the video player keep playing other episodes automatically? i watch these shows before bed and now im forever waking up in the middle of the night because it plays show after show now.. very annoying

I’m only gonna play it for the Story, I loooooved the story, so exciting. So i’ll just play it to finish the story then im pretty much done ^^

My knee jerk reaction to Disney buying Lucas Films was
“OMG straight to DVD sing along with Princess Lea!” , but now that
I’ve calmed down a bit I’m thinking “How much worse of a job can Disney really
do over what George did?” Given Disney’s history with Marvel they may do a
half decent job. My expectations for Disney doing Star Wars movies are pretty low
so it shouldn’t be too hard for them to exceed my expectations.

That said I hope they make some good movies set in the
Old Republic as well as the New Jedi Order.

    Well, no one in GL family wants to take over the family business, so there is no need to hold onto the company. If he sells this year, the capital gains tax rate is 10% or 15%. If he waited until next year, the capital gains tax rate jumps to 20% under President Obamas tax plan to allow the President Bush tax cuts to expire. There is also a new 3.8% medicare tax due to Obamacare.
    
    If President Obama is re-elected, you will probably see alot more individual owned businesses sell out to the large corporations before the end of the year. Of course this could still happen if Gov Ronmney is elected and does not get a new tax plan.

I really don’t think the Swtor F2P is meant for people to use it. They want you to sub, and everything about the F2P model is just there to make you sub. I am not sure it will push people to sub, but it is the only logical reason I can see in why they are limiting so much.

is the housing in rift just 1 house per dimension? b/c i was looking at lot of dimensions and all i saw 1 house every time lol. I hope its just like this in beta b/x if this goes live and theres no “actual” nieghborhoods thats gonna be wtf? I did like the housing though it was pretty sweet reminded me of swg back in the day and it seems like they did a better version then lotro did with thier housing.

Swtor is a pos thats gonna be flushed soon hopefully. Theres no way in hell swtor f2p is gonna compete with gw2 or other better more “free” to play models out there.

All the Marvel stuff was in the works before the Disney deal came through, plus It’s been stated multiple times, that Disney is pretty hands off with Marvel in general.

STO has the best free to play model I’ve seen. SWTOR’s is a complete joke. Basic Concept for SWTOR is free to level, not free to play
