Good episode, it was cool to see Jasmine return.

I noticed that Synthetic Gaming’s Planetside trailer has been taken down. I was glad GBTV point out this well-done trailer.

Could GBTV look into what happened to the Synthetic Gaming trailer? Was this some SOE lawyer-types that made them remove it? That would make no sense, it was better than anything SOE”s marketing has done.

I love how she names all the MMO’s that use the ‘hunt/gather/deliver’ as a crutch.
The only one that doesn’t do this, and is therefore not among those ‘called-out’, is Guild Wars 2.
With Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet has created the best MMO to date. Hands down.

I bet that the new characters will come out in a beta before the game launches. Maybe the next BWE, or the one after that, as I believe there will be two more before launch.

The Sylvari and Asura races aren’t exactly new. They were playable at PAX Prime last year. I’m not sure why they haven’t been in beta except that they might have wanted to more heavily test the other race’s areas.

The main issue with games like SWTOR, Rift, etc, is that they are very much fads.
TERA will get a large Lineage 2 crowd, which are just as hard core about their player driven content as EVE and will play it long term because many players view it as Lineage 3. The “fad kids” will play it a bit, get to max level and leave the game but there will be a core demographic which will keep it alive for a long time.

There is a Korean patch that revamped all 1-40 quests which should hit TERA pretty soon but in all honesty – I don’t care. I go through those levels once or twice top. Any MMOs leveling at least to me is boring and tedious (SWTOR was sodding boring and I was forced to space bar all of the story past lvl 10).

Tera has a rich story but not many people have bothered reading the quest logs. No one reads nowadays sadly.

I don’t really feel that Firefall poses much of a threat to Planetside 2′s dominance in the open world PvP arena, as Firefall is an open world PvE game with PvP battlegrounds on the side for “competitive” players.

Basically Firefall represents a casual, laid-back open world experience while Planetside 2 offers a more serious and strategic open world experience.

I’m personally looking at Firefall for my PvE fix, and Planetside 2 for my tactical shooter fix, as it will probably feel more “Battlefield” than Battlefield 3 does right now. I’m also a big fan of open world PvP territorial control.
