Have you ever consider that the first few lvls on every game are made for ppl never played that type game before. Of course it is boring … i mean if its your first time playing an MMO i bet you will have fun… but that is not the case … ppl like you and me have tried thousands of MMO’s we have done that route millions of times.

The island is a Tutorial Stage… and with how fast players can level up in this game, playing only up to lvl 11 is a BIG MISTAKE!!

If they give up on a game that fast, I wonder how much they got paid to rave about even more boring games like SWTOR…

GARY – go read a damn book if the story is required to kickass immediately… oh wait, those take their own pace to build up as well.

I want to add that I love coming to GBtv to see all the guys talk and have fun and do their shows. I love coming to get the commentaries, reviews, crticisms, game videos, episodes, etc. However, I as an avid fan & viewer of GBtv, was very disappointed in this episode and I think Gary give a very unfair review of Tera based on what he said he actually did and the time spent(or lack thereof).

Gary’s ”impressions” of Tera are one thing, wether you agree with them or not is another topic; but to go that step further and outright ‘bash’ and tear-down the game unnecessarily saying things such as “TERA-ble” is unnecessary. Then to further make a joke of Tera and mock it in future other episodes, as a big fan of GBtv it really makes me upset…… how unprofessional this is to ridicule any game in this way. No matter what the title is……. one can dislike a game, one can have a very harsh review for a game, but to go out of one’s way to take every opportunity to cast aspersions upon a game is very irresponsible. Unfortunately the few things he said positively about Tera fall into the shadows after all this.

As a game press journalist/critic/reviewer one takes on a position in which one have a responsibility to be as fair and accurate as possible. How Gary portrayed himself in this episode and since over Tera shows a real lack of maturity, professionalism, and a loss of credibility for other game reviews in the future.

Gary shows a lot of bias towards other games such as GW2 & Diablo3 of which things he dislikes in Tera he overlooks in those games. If you watch the respective episodes you can see this for yourself. It takes Gary from being being unprofessional and losing credibility to being hypocritical.

I think there is a lesson to learn here and I hope Gary and the team learn to not make this mistake again in any game they review in the future. Each game deserves a full fair unbiased review. I would like to see Gary(and the guys) actually put in some real time and play “the game” and not just the starter zone from just the first closed beta test weekend. There are 5 closed betas 2 weeks apart each over 3 months and one open beta to cap it off. A lot is being changed after each closed beta and it deserves another full fair play/review perhaps in Open Beta Week with a follow up episode.

There is no such thing as endgame in Guild Wars 2. Endgame starts at Lv 1. The game is not going to change into something completely different as soon as you hit Lv 80.
